get your expectations down, bitches!! i'm not going to be reading as fast anymore, sadly. i'll be starting school again tomorrow. i'm truly very happy with my semester break though!! i really get the most reading at these times.

getting into this book, i don't know if it's the author's warnings on their bad writing, the cover, or something that had me thinking it's not an amazing book. which is kind of true, but i just thoroughly enjoy my time reading this one!!

the vibes were immensely cosy with half of the book taking place in the cabin, as it should. from this book i also know further that i'm a very character based reader. this book has zero plot!!

there's no conflict, like the other books i've ever read. especially in romance, i'd always find a third act conflict involving something, like their exes, or whatsoever. it does have one of their exes but there's no conflict.

however, i know this is a work of fiction. but, this one little detail just bothers me so much. like how does his best friend 'take over' the company and do all of the work and stress and meanwhile he's just receiving on the changes on the company that his friend decide without needing to do nothing and just enjoy his time in the cabin?

this book can be squeezed into 30 chapters or less. the first half of the book was just them building their relationship with nothing but sex. going into this book, i know the author warned us that it will contain so so much sex. but they do nothing but sex, and that's when it gets a bit too repetitive for me. in the beginning of the book i was like, where? where's the sex, i'm waiting for it, and when the first one came, it keeps on going and going.

and i'd say every time they do have sex, tiana squirts. like, gurl? at first i found that hot, but when she keeps on doing it, i just roll my eyes. it comes to a point where he fucks her, she squirts, then he eats her out not long after, and she would squirt again. i'm not joking when i tell you that this girl squirts more than she cums.

what's the point with the lana thing? that adds nothing to the story. i was about to bump the rating down by half a star because of that trope, but then it didn't happen. so why mention it in the first place?

but one thing that really helps this book for me is the writing. as i said before, i was just expecting this book to have bad writing from the author's warnings. but actually, it's not even bad. i actually quite like the writing style!!
