i said this multiple times and i'll say it again, expectation ruins books for me. when i picked this book up, i expected nothing less than a 4 star. and honestly, the fact that this book does that is beyond me. if that doesn't tell you that this book is amazing, i don't know what will.

i'm usually always one to prefer the first person point of view, but with this book, i don't mind it at the slightest. if anything, i loved it!! the third person point of view really was well executed, telling us what's on both of their minds so well.

surprisingly, this book is a very quick read for me, i'm not joking when i say that i read 75% of it today, and i would read more if i can!! if it wasn't for my severe period cramps yesterday and the fact that i wasn't in the mood to read, i'm sure i can finish this book in less than a day.

which is odd because usually quick reads are not good books for me, it would be the highest of 3.5 stars. i was actually debating whether to give this book 3.5 or 4 stars, but i just LOVE these two so much that i could not not give it less than a four star.

just like deviation, i appreciate how they always talk through things, no matter how bad it sounded, no matter they know exactly that's not the other side wanted to hear, because truly, if there's one thing that matters, it's honesty. and they showed just that, and i just love their banter so much.

although, favouritism is just not something i can personally tolerate. you fuck your student because you find her attractive, fine, leave it there, it crossed the line far away already. but taking points from the other student just because you want her to score higher?

nathaniel is definitely one of my favourite book boyfriends!! GOSH, he's too hot for his own good. and the thing that he did at the end of the book, that almost got mr to tear up on its own!! but i don't know if i'm just not in the mood to cry or something, but i just didn't. the tears were real in my eyes already HAHA.

marie, you all know how much i LOVE a naughty brat rather than an innocent female lead. it's just so much fun to read from and the sex is so so so much hotter in my opinion!!

so i mentioned that i was debating whether to give it 3.5 stars? yeah, i just feel like there's a little bit too much sex? but, i just know if i'm in the mood mood for super smutty books i'd give it a 4.5 star!! not to mention that the smuts were on another level!! the dominance that this man holds, marie being the obedient little slut she is, and the dirty talks, i can't!!

however, it's not something that i can see myself thinking about for months, which is also why i bumped another half a star. it's just pretty much your typical teacher and student romance with tons of smuts. if anyone of you have read fantasy by goldmelanin17, this book gives a very strong vibe of that book.
