Roseanne's POV

Lunch was great, it went better than I had imagined. Father was happy that I am finally getting married, he even joked about finally having some peace and quiet since I won't live here and play the piano all day after getting married. But I know from deep down, he'll miss me.

And now, we are on our way to meet Layla, or maybe see Layla freaking out about two of her friends being engaged and not having anyone inform her. Believe me, I am just a s surprised as she will be. I never thought, that in my entire life I would be in a shotgun marriage. But I must say, it's pleasant having Lorenzo's presence around.

"And we're here." The driver, by name of Andrew turned to us after he parked the car on the side of the road, in front of a nice looking café. I've never been to this one actually, maybe it just opened not too long ago?

I smiled at him before going opening the door and going out. Lorenzo groaned when he went to my side and saw that I was already out. "Hey, let me act like a gentleman at least."

I found myself giggling. "So you being nice to me was all an act?" I raised at brow at him.

"Of course not," he put his arm up indicating that I should put my own on his, and I did. "I'm naturally a gentleman when it comes to you." He winked at me playfully.

"Ah, of course you are." We started walking towards the café.

As we went in, we could see Layla sitting on a table with four chairs, back facing us while reading the menu. This will be fun, she surely loves surprises. No she doesn't, that's was sarcasm, she hates them.

I took my arm out of Lorenzo's hold before motioning him to walk there first, he just nodded and obliged. Pushing a chair out and sitting down before greeting Layla.

"Hi Layla, how are you doing?" He slumped down in the chair and crossed his arms before his chest.

"Tch." She scoffed. Oh? "Don't 'Hi Layla!" me, you are late, very late." I could imagine her giving him her signature frown, the frown she would give to girls who would act like, according to her language "spoiled brats". But I think they are just normal girls with nothing to do with their lives.

"Come on, it's only fifteen minutes."

"Fifteen minutes of my precious life." She fired back at him. "And for your information, you are the one who requested to see me, be thankful I am willing to make time for you out of my busy life." I laughed silently. That is Layla alright.

But by the looks of it, Lorenzo isn't going to last long with her so I should probably go save him.  I slowly walked towards their table and smiled at Lorenzo, which he replied with a smirk. What is there for him to be smirking?

"Hi Layla." I greeted nervously. She shot her head up to my direction from her menu, looking at me with wide eyes.

"How did you know I was here?" She squinted her eyes at me, I just laughed nervously. Oh, you'll know in a minute. I gazed at Lorenzo while he just smirked and looked to the side.

"She's with me." He spoke. Layla just glared at him.

"Don't tell me you're playing with her, because if you are then just wait to have a taste of my fists." I pushed a chair out beside Lorenzo and sat down.

He just scoffed. "Like you'll ever be able to do that." He mumbled to himself.

"Why are you sitting next to him?" She looked at me. I have a bad feeling about this, a really bad one.
