Lorenzo's POV

I frowned, making my way across the dance floor to a woman dressed in a purple dress, dark hair falling behind her back as she danced around, chatting with some people. Back faced against me. The people she was conversing with smiled at me and excused themselves.

"Claura Kleinfeld." I called her, she immediately turned around and smiled at me.

"Finally, I knew you were even just a tad bit interested in me." The audacity this woman has to speak to me like that, we aren't close. I can't believe my own wife just pushed me towards her.

I raised a brow. "Not even an official greeting?"

She scoffed. "Fine." She rolled her eyes, still smiling. "How have you been General, it's been a while."

I chuckled dryly. "I've been great, with my loving wife."

Her eyes widened at what I said, I think she just realized that she's busted. "I um, I didn't know that you got married." She looked away.

"Why, I think everybody else knows?" I asked her, trying to use the calmest voice I have, the fact that she just told everyone that without thinking about the outcome says a lot. And people believe her as well, funny.

"Well," She said. "Who ever you married, I don't think they fit you. Nobody even knows what she looks like." She said, looking back at me, making eye contact.

"And how would you know, have you met her? Do you know why we got married, how we got married, how much I feel and care for her. Whatever you were doing has hurt bth my wife and me. And is about to harm your well being and reputation after." I said sternly, not giving her even an ounce of emotion.

"What are you going to do?" She laughed, looking away. "Everyone thinks we're happily married right now, look around."

I turned around, even though there is music blasting in the room, you can just tell that people were talking about us from the way they are looking at our direction and smiling. Oh god, I hope Roseanne won't be affected by this.

I turned back to see her just smirking at me, but to others it probably just looks like an innocent smiled. "See? To them, we're a power couple" She walked closer and put a hand on my arm. Disgusting......

"You're fucking crazy." I muttered under my breath.

She only kept smiling. "For you, I am. And there isn't really anything you can do about it."

I laughed, this woman probably forgot who I really am. "You know I can destroy your entire career right? I have connections to the press, military, publishing houses, private companies, city hall and people in your industry. Don't make me do anything rash."

She glared at me. "You wouldn't." She breathed out.

"Oh," I let out a chuckle. "I will." With no hesitation.

"What do want from me?" She asked. I should be asking her that question instead, what does she want from me? Why is she obsessed with me, and won't go find someone else? So many men are crazy over her.

"Go tell everyone that you were lying about everything and tell them I have an actual wife that I am happily married to."

        "No."

"What do you mean 'no'?" I looked away, this is so frustrating. This is why I had commitment issues with women until I met Roseanne, they are so hard to deal with. No offense. "You don't have a choice."
