Roseanne's POV

"So he's like, gone? For how long?" Genevieve asked while looking at me with her brows scrunched up, not believing what I was saying. I wonder why though, everybody knows that he is a general, they can be called back any moment.

"I have no idea, for as long as the war lasts maybe?" Shrugging my shoulders, I sat down on the sofa in our office.

Her eyes widened. "Roseanne! That'll take at least months."

I shrugged again. "And the problem is?"

"Aren't you worried? I mean being out there for months means him risking his life every single day of those months, maybe even years if the war doesn't stop."

"I am, but what can I do about it? We write newspapers Genevieve, we can't end a war with just a couple of papers." I said. I mean, it is useless for us to worry about their lives right now, am I right? Worrying won't do anything and certainly won't be any good for our own health, I'm sure Lorenzo wouldn't like to hear the news of me, or any one of my friends being sick because we were worrying about them.

"True." She nodded. "Anyways, I'm guessing you two had some fun before he left?" She gave me a knowing look. Oh, no, I am not going to talk about this topic.

Maybe I should, I don't know, act? "Oh, we did. He took me to this museum and big flower garden. It was truly a sight worth seeing. And the paintings in the museum were beautiful, I guess that's why they are in the museum."

Her smile dropped, glaring at me. "You know that's as not what I meant, but good for you Roseanne, I'm glad you're happy."

"Thank you." I gave her a genuine smile.

"But I wanted to know how the sex was for the passed few days." She huffed, whispering to herself after turning back to the papers she is writing.

"Genevieve, that's private."

I stood up and walked towards the desks, sitting on the chair beside her, which is the spot that I usually sit in. "Where's Aria and Elina?"

"Aria should be on a date actually, which is very surprising. And Elina's going around interviewing people, trying to collect as many things she can on that little notebook of hers." Seems like they've got plans then.

"You know what," A sudden thought came to my mind. "How about we go out and have some fun together, Genevieve."

She stared back at me weirdly, not believing what I just said. "Did Roseanne the workaholic just suggest going out to have fun?" Rolling my eyes at her, I nodded in response earning a light chuckle. "Well, what are you thinking?" She sat back into the chair and crossed her arms together, looking at me.

I smirked, looking back at her. "Didn't you say you liked going to that one bar?"

Smirking back with her brows raised. "Are you telling me that you want to go drink with me? What a surprise."

"I think you know the answer to that already. So what do you think?"

              "Of course it's a 'yes'."

"Genevieve, remind me why we are here again?" I asked while looking around the place, regretting my decisions to even suggest coming here. The room is dark, with colored lights flashing as the music disks were playing, people drinking and dancing in the middle of the room could be seen. Why did I even suggest coming here while knowing Genevieve's lifestyle.
