Roseanne's POV
"Genevieve, honestly, I haven't seen you in a while, where were you, I heard Aria had to take over your work." I asked her while we are having breakfast.
After I finally got my daughter to go back to sleep last night, I told Genevieve to go to sleep in the guest room down stairs. And now that it's morning, we are having breakfast together, and thankfully, Ellie is still asleep, which is very unlikely for this time in the morning, but I am not complaining. When was the last time I got to sit down and talk to someone like this?
"Yeah, I was kind of busy." she flashed a slight smile at me before sipping on her tea. Honestly, I'm surprised she doesn't have a hangover.
"Doing?" I gave Hera knowing look, at least it should be knowing to her.
"Roseanne, I went to the borders where the soldiers are."
"What?"I could feel my eye brows scrunching while looking at her, putting down my utensils. "B-But how?"
"They came to my house in the middle of the night and asked for me to come and help them with their mission, and the next thing I knew was that I was facing some officials from Chorona and trying to get information out of their mouths." She explained. Then realization hit.
"Does that mean--"
"I knew you were going to ask about this." She sighed, cutting me off. "Yes, yes I did."
"You didn't tell him anything, did you?" I asked her, hopefully she didn't.
"Roseanne, to be honest, I didn't really even get to talk to Lorenzo. he was busy, the entire time planning out things and trying to figure out what to do when the plan, or mission, actually succeeds." She told me as I just nodded. "But, he did seem kind of angry, and desperate."
Angry and desperate, I don't think those are two words you usually put in. a sentence together. "What do you mean?" I asked her.
"You should start eating before your breakfast gets cold." she said quickly, avoiding my question I see. Or maybe not. But I might as well listen to her.
"Right." I placed a slice of pancake in my mouth. "Now answer me, and don't try avoiding my question."
"He just seemed very desperate to be done with everything, he wanted to get things over with and come back home to this place. I don't blame him though, you do make extremely great breakfast." She gave me a smile as she place a slice of bacon in her mouth, chewing on it in delight.
"I'm pretty sure that my husband doesn't want to come back for that reason only, he's not that shallow as a human being, but I'll take that as a compliment, thank you." I smiled at her.
"Your very welcome." she gave me a smile again.
"Wait," She looked at me again. "Why did the military need women to talk to enemy officials?"
"I have no idea, all I remember is that they needed a couple of 'beautiful' women, which I am extremely grateful that they considered me as one, to seduce the men on the other side because apparently those enemies of ours can't resist seduction." She explained, and I could feel my stomach turning at the information she just told me. And how was she even okay doing this?
"Weren't you, I don't know, bothered by this, or bothered by doing this?" I asked her. Great, I think the hormones are starting to get to me. Oh wait, I'm not pregnant anymore.
