Lorenzo's POV

This is great. Absolutely amazing. Better than I have planned. I guess I don't need Layla to introduce me to some girls anymore. Considering Layla's personality, her friends can't possibly be the spoiled brats that dad .likes to set me up with. They have great family backgrounds, yes. But they don't act like they came from those families and it annoys me to be in the same room as them.

But since I just met one of Layla's friends, who by the looks of it, isn't a brat. At least for now she isn't. I should probably tell Layla that I don't need her help anymore considering I already solved my problem.

I looked at the girl sitting next to me as we drive to my father's house. She's beautiful, you can't deny it no matter what you say. I wonder why she doesn't have a suitor or a husband, girls like her would usually have been married off into well off families.

From the short period of time that I have met her, I can tell she thinks a lot. And it's quite visible too since she tends of stop everything she does and stare at one point. I wonder what she's thinking though, she's been looking out the window ever since we started driving.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, she just turned to me with wide eyes. What? Is she scared that I will yell at her or something, why is she so alarmed?

She looked down and coughed, straightening her posture and gave me a faint smile. "I'm fine, thank you." She looked out the car window again.

"Are you......nervous?" I asked her. I know dad could look scary sometimes, especially in public, but she couldn't be this scared of him, could she? Dad is one of the nicest people I know, people just don't know him personally.

"Who am I kidding, I'm meeting the governor." She breathed of. I looked at her, so she's nervous because she's meeting the governor but not because he's my father.

"So you're nervous because...... he's the governor, but not because he's my father?" She looked at me and nodded slightly.

"Should I be nervous meeting your father if he wasn't the governor?" She asked back, I just shook my head. Why do I feel offended for dad?

"What's so scary about meeting the governor anyways." I mumbled. I don't get it, people are always nervous before they meet my dad. Like he's going to judge you or something.

"You won't know because you are always meeting him." She spoke. "But at guess people are scared they might leave a bad impression on him since he is such a public figure. Your father is a good governor, people look up to him and want to look good in his eye." I nodded. So that's why. I never really thought about those things, even if I did meet some public figure. I was always the one they gave an award to.

"We're arriving in two minutes." Andrew spoke. Tch, I know what he's doing and he better stop before I find a way to fire him. Or not, he's pretty useful when it comes to fighting.

"Oh god." She breathed out. I wanted to laugh at how she looks right now, biting her lower lip while playing with her fingers. She looks like a student waiting to know their grade right after a test.

"You'll be fine." I sat back in my seat as we entered through the familiar gates. I haven't been back in months, it's good to finally be back home again. Good thing Romeo is taking over for a while. I wish he wouldn't get killed out there though.

The car stopped and I got out quickly. If I want to put on an act I'll have to make it believable, right? I went over to her side and opened the door for her, she smiled at me as a thank you, which I returned with the same smile.
