Roseanne's POV
When he told me I could interview him I didn't think we are going to be in his room. All alone at that. I mean what did I expect, I can't just ask him these questions in front of his family, that will be suspicious.
But still, I am a women and being alone in a room with a man isn't something great. If this somehow got leaked by someone then this act might have to turn into reality. So both our reputations will be ruined. 'The youngest General and the daughter of famous diplomat engaged', that would be something which would make headlines. For a while. And I'll just expect my wedding coming.
"I thought you had a lot of questions you wanted to ask?" He looked at me as we sat on the couch in his room. Slouching down with his arms crossed in front of his chest, eyes closed, sitting beside me.
"A-Ahm, yes." I looked down. "But I'll need a pen and piece of paper or a couple at that." Yeah, as a journalist, you'll need to write down the information you have.
"Of course." He stood up. "Please be patient for a minute." And walked over to his desk, taking out a small notebook and a pen.
He walked over and handed me the things. "I only needed pieces of paper, not a notebook." I looked at him, he just shrugged.
"I can't find a piece of paper lying around, so just take the notebook, you might need it in the future." I nodded. Guess he isn't as bad as I first thought he was then.
"Thank you." I muttered and opened the notebook. "We'll start easy, name?"
"Are you serious." He looked at me weirdly. "I'm your fiancé." He joked.
"Okay, yes. And you are my fake fiancé." I made sure to emphasize the word 'fake' as he looked at me with a smirk.
"You like that don't you?"
"Name please."
"Oh you weren't kidding."
"Just give me your name."
"Fine, Lorenzo Carl Bastorio." I smirked while writing his name down. I heard him chuckle while I just raised a brow at him. "What?"
"You always get your way, don't you?" He asked, amused
"As long as it's reasonable, then yes, yes I do." I grinned at him.
"There's something that you should know about me, Roseanne." I looked at him, waiting for him to continue. "I also always get what I want, the difference is it doesn't have to be reasonable." He stared at me with a dark expression.
Okay, he is scaring me now. I just knew that agreeing with whatever he said wasn't a good idea, but the information he has could be so valuable, and might just change how the society sees the war as of now.
They are all seeing the worst in the war but have no thoughts on it, they won't try to know more about it and find ways to win or stop the war. They think that we could only get our freedom through war, while we could maybe try negotiating. Why are we making it seem like the only way to get things done is through violence, is this what we want to teach children?
"And I'm guessing there is something you want right now?" I asked him slowly, looking at how his expression shows that he's amused.
"Of course there is." He said simply. Okay, does that have anything to do with me? It does concern me with the way he looks at me though.
