Roseanne's POV
"Hey." Lorenzo whispered as we were driving back. His head leaning on my shoulder as I sat in the middle, between him and Genevieve. "Are we going home?"
"No, you're going to your grandmother's house. Stop whispering, everyone can still hear you." Andrew answered back as I chuckled, Lorenzo turned his head and left a light kiss on my shoulder, I could feel my heart fluttering. It's been more than a year since this has happened.
"Shut up and drive Andrew, let him have his moment with his wife." Romeo slapped Andrew's shoulder.
"Hey! You would have done the same thing!" Andrew retorted.
"Well, I didn't." Romeo shot back.
"Can the two of you just stop fighting. Even I'm having a headache." Genevieve said as she massaged her temples with her eyes closed, frowning.
"Sorry." Romeo immediately answered.
"I hate couples." Andrew groaned, muttering under his breathe with a frown.
I just laughed at him, earning a glare through the rear mirror. "I think you just hate being single." I felt Lorenzo's body vibrate lightly, meaning he was laughing at what I said.
We've been driving for 5 hours already, it was already dark out and I'm pretty sure we're close to the village where his grandparents live though, so he just needs to put up with this for a little longer, and we'll be fine.
"I think we're almost there, will you be okay?" I asked him, earning another light kiss on the shoulder.
"I'll be fine." He nodded, closing his eyes. Probably a bit too tired to stay awake.
It seems like he's been through a lot for the past week, I feel really bad that we didn't come to get him earlier, maybe he'll be in less pain. But yet again, I'm so glad we found him at the first place we went looking for. I just need to make sure he gets enough rest, and hopefully heals a bit before we could go back home.
"Okay, geez. We're here. Now get out." Andrew groaned.
Romeo laughed before looking at us in the back. "Do you need any help?"
I gave him a slight smile, I think I do, it's not easy to carry a fully grown, very buff man. "Please?"
Lorenzo scoffed. "Please, I can get up on my own and walk to the bedroom." I frowned at him as he looked up at him, his eyes widened and immediately looked forward. "On second thought, I think I do need some help."
Andrew started laughing at his reaction, the other two only chuckled. "IS the general scared of his wife?"
"I am not scary." I smiled at Lorenzo as he sat up straight against his seat, returning the smile.
"Just get up guys, I still want to go home and sleep tonight." Genevieve gave us a sarcastic smile. The two guys just got out of the car, coming to the side and opening us the door to the backseat, taking Lorenzo out immediately. Not listening to any of his protests.
I smiled at Genevieve. "Looks like you're the real scary one."
She chuckled, sending me a playful glare. "Says the one who had a general immediately obey them." She joked. "You should go and open up the door for them. Should I go and ask for the baby?"
My eyes widened. That's right, Ellie is still waiting for me. "Please do, and bring her to the cabin as soon as possible." I gave her a slight smile before running out and opening up the door to the cabin.
