Roseanne's POV

"What's the matter?" I asked as I walked into the living room, Lorenzo was sitting on the couch with a letter in his hand, frowning. And through the month that we have been married, I think I already know him well enough to know if something might be wrong by looking at his facial expressions.

"Oh, I thought you wanted to take a nap?" I set the letter to his side and looked up at me, smiling.

"That doesn't answer my question......" I responded, walking over to sit beside him. "What happened, Lorenzo?" I gave him a frown.

He let out a chuckle and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me towards him making my body lean against his chest. "Nothing is wrong sweetheart, I love you." He whispered the last part and kissed the crown of my head.

My cheeks heated up at the gesture but that's not important, he clearly is hiding something from me that is making him stressed out. I know that I shouldn't pry into all the matters that my husband associates himself with, but as his lawful wife, I want to help him by going through these hardships, or such things.

"I'm pretty sure there is......" I muttered to myself. He probably didn't hear it though.

"What was that?" He asked back, in a warning tone. I don't even know what there is to warn me about.

I sat up and turned to look at him. "I said, I am pretty sure there is something wrong." I told him clearly. "Now explain to me what's wrong."

"Roseanne, please. I don't want to talk about it." He spoke after a big sigh. Oh, I guess this is something very serious, he didn't even call me 'sweetheart'.

         "Lorenzo, I'm your—"

"Wife." He cut me off, giving me a smile. "I know. But Rosie baby, listen. Being one's spouse doesn't mean you'll have to know every single thing that is going on in their lives immediately, some people might want to keep things to themselves for a bit, so we shouldn't be forcing them to explain everything. Once they are ready, they will talk about the things that might be bothering them."

I was speechless. Did this man really just lecture me about personal space and privacy and also refer to himself in third person? I'll give him the privacy that he needs but why is he lecturing me like I am still a young student?

"Oh no, did I break you?" He joked staring at my reaction.

I gave him a frown. "You're treating me like I am still 12. I am 20 Lorenzo, 20! I'm a legal adult that got married to you a month ago, don't treat me like a child."

He let out a chuckle, throwing his head back a little as he did so. "And I am 24, so I do have the rights to lecture you since I've been an adult longer than you, I also have more experience." He gave a knowing look, trying to tease me again.

I swear, this man is crazy. But I love him, so it doesn't really matter.

"Promise to tell me, eventually." I pouted my lips at him, staring into those dark, doe eyes of his.

He nodded in response, eyes looking down at my lips then staring back straight into my eyes. "How about we have some fun in the kitchen?" He leaned closer and whispered in my ear.

My heart leaped as my cheeks started to heat again, why am I even surprised at what he said. This should be expected of him already. "No." I whispered back and gave him a sarcastic smile.

"Ey, sweetheart. Don't be sarcastic with me?" He gave me a frown jokingly.

"Then don't be a pervert with me." I shot back at him, still smiling.
