Lorenzo's POV

"Damn, Bartorio. You've got it bad for your wife." Edward spoke as we entered the meeting room. Oh, how funny. I didn't come here just to be teased by him.

"She wouldn't be my wife if I don't." I gave him a knowing look, turning back the see the other officials and military higher ups that aren't in the war sitting there. And there I could see, my father, sitting in his seat with glory.

Giving them a slight bow as a greeting before walking over and sitting in my assigned seat, which thankfully was next to Edward, because to be honest, I would never want to sit next to those boring and manipulative old men if I had a choice.

I think they secretly hate me, because I've already achieved they still haven't and I'm not even half their age. Sucks to be them I guess.

"Right, now that everyone's here, let's begin." Someone spoke.

"Of course." Another commander, whose actually one of my father's great friends spoke. "This emergency meeting today will be mainly led by me, but feel free to speak up about your concerns and opinions. Since we are doing this for the country, we would want the best plans possible."

He paused and gave us all a look with a slight grin. But that all disappeared the second after. Geez, talk about duality. I wouldn't be surprised if these people had more than two faces, people who are in the military or are associated with politics are complicated.

"I'm sure we've all heard about the disease that has been spreading amongst the camps, which has been bringing down lots of men who are capable to fight. Which means, our original tactics and plans might not work as well as we originally intended I to." He sighed, looking to the side. "Why am I even explaining this? Edward, do you have the report?"

Edward reached for the files that were next to him and nodded. "Yes sir. So according to the research that was done by some men, the number of deaths by before 12 A.M. this morning has been 163 men, a total of 1359 people are infected by the time it was recorded, not including the deaths, these infected men are mainly from one camp, which General Romeo Castro is in charge of. That camp originally consists 7500 men, with the deaths and infections, only 5978 remain." He paused and closed the file. "It probably doesn't seem like a lot of people, but during a time like this, even the strength of ten people could make an incredibly big difference in how things turn out. We just couldn't afford to lose this many people."

"Is General Castro still in good shape?" The head spoke.

"By what it shows so far, he is in good shape. Hasn't been infected yet." The man just nodded in acknowledgement at what Edward had told him.

"That's good to know." He then looked at the map that was scattered across the table. "That troop was originally set to be traveling up north and split into 10 different groups, circle the enemy's troop and then either negotiate or defeat them with force, because that's where the biggest troops of Charona will be, and as long as we defeat that one over there, it will basically mean it's over for them."

"But since we are short of men, it might not be as easy as we once thought it was. Or, if I'm more honest,we have a bigger chance of losing."

         "Correct."

"We could send troops from other stations there."

"No, what if they send more troops to those stations that are unprotected, they could easily invade through there." Well, no shit dude. I think 90% of the people in here knows that.
