Roseanne's POV
"Oh, goodbye darling." The old lady gave me a warm hug, which I returned. "Come and visit us when you both are available, okay?"
"We will. I promise." I whispered back. Great, I'm getting emotional now.
We broke apart and she turned to Lorenzo, crossing her arms in front of her chest. "And you, young man. If you ever do anything that can hurt her physically, mentally or emotionally I will be sure that you won't be able to see the light of day unless it's over my dead body."
My eyes widened and turned to Lorenzo, he's scoffing quietly with a small smirk across his face. Wait, why is he looking like that? "Of course, grandma."
"Oh! And send my greetings to your sister, Lianna's such a sweet child." The old lady smiled at the thought of her granddaughter. Well only if she knew how much of a prankster her granddaughter actually is. But I couldn't blame her, I'm sure she is a really sweet person if you get to know her personally.
"Of course, grandma." Lorenzo answered. Probably suppressing the wanting to roll his eyes, you can tell by his tone that he is already really annoyed.
"Hey young man, don't give me that attitude." Grandma frowned at him. "You should remember when I had to deal with you as a child, how annoying and how much of a trouble maker you were."
I could feel myself giggling, which earned a glare from Lorenzo, but I honestly couldn't care less. "Don't laugh, Roseanne." He mumbled under his breath.
"Sorry?" I grinned at him.
"Don't apologize Roseanne sweetie, you did nothing wrong." Grandma told me. "Now off you go with your wife Lorenzo." She pushed me to Lorenzo. Good thing he caught me in time though, or I would have fallen flat on the ground. And looking at the bumpy stone path we are standing on, that doesn't sound so great.
"Careful, sweetheart." He whispered, holding me up. "Okay grandma, we'll be going now."
I bowed my head down, saying goodbye to her as she gave us a wave, smiling. "And just so you young kids know, I wouldn't mind becoming a great grandma before turning eighty five."
My face burned up, but I just heard Lorenzo chuckling. Did she really just tell us that!? Why do I find this so embarrassing?
"We'll try, grandma." He nodded. My jaw dropped as my eyes widened and turned to stare at his face. What did he just say!?
"Well good luck then, dearies. Now off you go." We walked towards the car. Lorenzo opened the door for me and I got in.
Lorenzo turned to face the house again. "Tell grandpa we said goodbye once he returns from his fishing sessions with his friends." The old lady just nodded and motioned for us to go.
I lastly waved at her before the car started and we started our journey back home, as our honeymoon has officially ended.
"You know, we could help fulfill grandma's request when we get back home." He started as I was just looking at the scenery outside, the natural view we were passing by.
"The one where you're not allowed to hurt me in any sort of way?" I turned back to him, raising a brow with a small smile.
He chuckled. "No." He paused for a bit, turning his head to look at me. "The one where she wouldn't mind becoming a great grandmother at this age." My face reddened.
