'He's my older brother's best friend, this was doomed from the start.

ANNA
My phone blares and I scramble to get it out of my pocket.
"Your phone should be on silent mode Johansson and dump it in the drawer."
A lady in light blue scrubs, pretty olive skin, brown eyes with her hair up in a ponytail walks over to the counter I was currently standing behind. She'll be about 5'0 or 5'1 in height now that she was quite closer to me i have a few good inches on her at 5'3. the small lady gives me a stern look and I try my best not to return it with one of my own.
"It's Anna. I prefer Anna." I say, Shutting off the phone screen after putting it on silent mode. I look over at her and she looks like she could be in her early thirties.
She ignores me.
"I'm Gina Hogan and I'll be your supervisor lets get going its time for rounds!." that Is all she says and she beckons me to follow her with her fingers hastily. I nod, running my hands over my pants for the uptenth time since I got here this morning.
It's about to be a long day.
Two months into my internship and it's not so bad. But there are a lot of mean people working here. I don't know if it's because I'm an intern or the whispers going around about me being one of Pavilon's finest-wealthy man's daughter and having it easy in life.
And then there's this other man who's just so impossible. He yelled at me for no reason yesterday when he had us going to patients rooms to just watch how the residents get things done.
I think his name was Dr. Matthew or Mark—something. I can't remember. He not worth me popping a brain cell.
"Hurry up Johansson ! i need you to check in 2114, 1532, 3116 and 4151 before lunch time honey!" She calls impatiently.
" I' m coming."
I scurry down the long corridor behind her with dim lights that somehow manage to make the place bright. Pavilon Ridge is the second largest hospital in the city. We get all the transfer patients from other places that need more treatments and specialists that the other locations can't provide. Cardiology, maternity, neurology and many more.
As a registered nurse, it's almost like I touch up the front, i would like to call us the captain of the ship we are involved in every way possible. Checking in on patients' vitals , changing bandages, making sure meds and labs are intact, ensuring and informing our patients of their health and provifding with all the information needed- all the 'basic stuff' in all departments but for me the cardiology department is where i want to be. I'm here to try to conquer the ass of heart diseases.
