MICHAEL

It's been a day since we all witnessed Masons outburst to his mother.
I asked Zelma and my mother to make sure Aaliyah was alright. I tried getting to her myself but she politely asked me to give her some space.
So I had to tell Jesse to try and get her to just talk, but he said she's disappeared and that set of my brother's rage even though he claims he doesn't care.

"Michael, there's someone here to talk to you" Mason walked into the small office I had in my home.

"Did you talk to your mother?"

He ignored my question.

" we don't have time. Let's get to it, I'm sure Anna is trying her best to stay strong while she waits on us"

He's avoiding eye contact. "Sure. Is something wrong?."
He shook his head, walking out.

We both walked out into the living room. My mother and we're already seated. I guess Zelma left to go be with Aaliyah. I'll admit I don't like the idea of her being alone. Keilah looks like she's been crying but that didn't stop Mason from turning the knife in her chest.

"Did we interrupt something?" Mason voiced out.

Did he really have to say something. I rolled my eyes at his sarcastic statement.
His mother wiped her face as she composed herself.

"Did you guys find anything?" she said, her voice nearly above a whisper.

"Like you care" Mason muttered.

I glared at him, "No. Mason said someone was her to talk to me. So hopefully we get some information" I added.

After the alert went out that my wife was missing we had people coming to the police station to give their statement.
Based on the description Zelma gave about Mara had a few recognized her. But the man, all she could come with was his eyes.

Blue eyes.

I've tried to scout my mind for any one with those eyes. But I end up dead about it.
This couple, a man and his lovely wife. They weren't quite old but a little of age.
Probably older. But the woman said she saw a man dragging my wife. But she couldn't remember his face nor could she tell if Mara needed help or not. She later said she heard someone calling for help but they couldn't go over.

At first, when I heard what she said I almost lashed out, but I took a second and understood why they didn't interfere.
What if things turned out bad.

"Michael" my mother called, I looked up catching her tired and worried eyes on me.

"Yes?"

She nodded towards the entrance behind me, I turned around and there she was.

"Anastasia..." her eyes were trained on me as she stood at the door.

"You." I accused. " you, want to talk to me?" I asked and she nodded. She was still rooted in her spot, so I walked towards her.

"Michael." Mason stepped in halting my steps toward her.

"She means no harm."

"And you know this how?" I shot back.

"Because I believe her." he added.

My lips curl up. "Get the fuck out of my way Mason." I gritted, eyes focused on the woman behind him.

"No, She's not here to argue. Just listen, we don't have time." he pressed. What the heck is he on about.

" do you know something I don't?" My eyes narrowed into slits
