"D-do you like me ba?!" Pagsusungit niya para itago ang pamumula.

Hindi pwedeng agad siyang bibigay, 'no!

Napakamot ito ng batok sa paratang niya.

"Uh... I just hate it someone's ignoring me."

"What? So you'll pay everyone who'll gonna ignore you?" Hindi makapaniwalang anas niya.

"Probably? I hate being ignored."

"So, I'm not special?"

Kumunot ang noo nito.

"What do you mean? Like special child? I don't know. You tell me," sabi nito.

Napatampal siya ng noo at napailing. Akala niya 'yon na, eh! Nakakainis naman. Akala niya nahuhulog na ito sa kanya 'yon pala siya lang pala 'tong nahuhulog mag-isa.

"Next time, ayusin mo kasi para hindi ako umasa." She spat irritatedly.

"Pinapaasa kita?" Takang tanong nito.

Sabay silang napalingon ng may tumawag na babae sa may kalayuan. Nakangiti itong naglakad papalapit sa kanya.

The lady is beautiful, sopistikada at eleganteng tingnan. Mukhang palaging nakangiti at mabait. Ito rin ang klase ng babae na gugustuhin na magiging daughter-in-law. Total opposite of her.

"Rere," Heilan greeted.

Wow, nickname basis, huh?

Nakangiting lumapit ang babae at bumeso sa binata.

"I've met your parents on Deli Xios. They're teasing me that probably I'm the one who'll be your date in your birthday?" Rere lightly giggled then chuckle.

Mas lalo itong gumanda, habang siya naman ay halos hindi makayang ngumiti.

"They're just excited." Nangingiting napailing si Heilan.

"Me too! I have received the invitation. Happy birthday in advance!" Masayang bati nito.

Ano pa bang ginagawa niya dito? Makikinig sa usapan ng dalawa? Magmumukhang third wheel? Pati ba naman sa akala niyang love story niya third wheel pa rin siya?

Inis siyang umalis at mukhang hindi na siya napansin ng binata dahil nakaharap na ito kay Rere. Napairap na lang siya.

Her family is a member in elite circle. Dati nakakapunta naman siya sa mga birthday but when she started chasing the Benjamin doon na tumigil ang pagpapadala ng invitation sa kanya. They probably thought that she'll gonna spoil or ruin the party!

Sa sobrang sama ng timpla ng mood niya ay naisipan na lang niyang umuwi. Pakiramdam niya ay bigla siyang nagkakasakit.

"Why are you acting this way, Ckim?! You're not in love with him! You can't fall in love with him that fast!" She screamed as she look at herself in the mirror and she throw her heels on it.

Nabasag iyon at kumalat ang bubog sa sahig. Napasinghap siya at napahawak sa pisngi.

She has been crying.

"N-no...no.. I'm not in love with him..I'm not." She sobbed and slowly dropped on the floor.

She must have been chasing the Benjamins but doesn't mean she love them. Sa bawat habol niya sa mga Benjamin ay nakita niya ang pagmamahalan nito at ng kanilang kaparehas. And even tho they got married in the end, she was traumatized on how they suffer on their heartbreak.

Claudia, her cousin. She doesn't drink alcohol pero napainom dahil broken ito kay Hinx. Cleo, the brat with high and mighty pride, cried over Heixon when she revealed Cleo's secret after his accident. Chloe, the almost Benjamin bride that she encountered on airport was abandoned on their wedding day by Hendrix. Chen and Hover broke up as of now, the poor innocent girl also cried a river even tho it's her fault, and so on...

"Loving is like a drug, Ckim. You'll get addicted to it, you'll be crazy over it, so choose someone who can love you back because if they can't. That drug called love can kill you." She remember her mother's words.

Her heart clenched. She can not fall in love with 27 years old Heilan like she did on the 18 years old Heilan. The guy who she thought was weak and easy to get, was the first one who break her heart.

She won't deny, she had fallen in love with the 18 year old Heilan. No wonder why she had fallen in love so fast right now.

"Happy 18th birthday, Heilan." She greeted him and kiss him on the cheek.

Namula ang pisngi nito at inayos ang salamin sa mata. The innocent Heilan looks so confused on what she just do.

"T-thank you.."

"Here's my gift!" She smiled widely and handed him the gift.

"T-thanks again. What's your name?"

Napanguso siya. Hindi pala siya kilala nito?

"You don't know me? I'm Ckim, your future wife." She smirked.

"Uh, I... I didn't know I had a girlfriend?" He adorably scratched his nape.

"Now you know. Wanna claim your other gift aside from what I gave you?"

"I have another gift?" Manghang tanong nito.

Nakangiting hinawakan niya ang kwelyo ng binata.

"Yes. This," and she kissed him.

Napasinghap si Heilan. Bagi pa man ito lumayo ay inunahan na niya ito.

"You're mine now, Heilan." She said as he fixes his collar.

Her flashback ends when she remembered Heilan and Rere again. They're probably dating now?

"So this is what jealousy feels like." She smirked.

She knows her worth, she loves herself but when jealousy strikes in, it made her question her whole life.

The way that girl hold Heilan freely publicly without any judgement, the way his parents tease the girl towards Heilan is the things she knew she will never experienced.

"Ckim!" Her mother's horrified voice screamed seeing her right now.

"Anthony!" Her mother called his father.

Nakarinig siya ng papalapit na hakbang at ang malakas na mura ng Daddy niya saka niya naramdaman ang pagkarga nito.

"Why did you do this to yourself again?" Her mother's not-so-clear voice trembled.

The broken mirror she was holding was taken away from her and she felt someone's covering her wound to stop it from bleeding.

Unti-unti siyang nawalan ng malay.

Even how much strong and unbothered she is, behind that façade is the girl who hurt herself.

That's why her mother wants her to marry a Benjamin because being a Benjamin's wife is living the privilege and the bed full of roses. On her mother's eyes, Benjamin won't hurt their love ones.
