Max was discharged from the hospital a week after she woke up. No one wanted to leave her side. While Max appreciated the company, she also wanted to process everything. So, she took her time in the shower every day mainly because it was the only time she was alone. She thought and remembered everything that she and her friends went through. It had all been for nothing because Vecna was still out there, slowly taking over their dimension.

A knock on the door brought her out of her trance.

"One second," She yelled out. Max quickly dried off and threw on the clothes she brought with her into the bathroom.

The redhead opened the door and saw Lucas standing there anxiously twiddling his thumbs.

"Are you okay...?" Max was a little confused about why Lucas was acting this way.

"Well, uh, I thought...umm well...today's Friday," He blurted out. A small grin appeared on Max's face making Lucas relax a little.

"Does that mean we're gonna watch a movie at this "place" you talked about?"

"If you still want to..."

"Can we leave right now?" Max desperately wanted to escape the party. She loves those twerps more than anything, but they also drove her crazy.

"Yeah, we just have to-" Lucas was cut off by Max grabbing his hand and leading him to the living room.

"We're leaving, bye," Max said to the party and walked out the front door, leaving Lucas behind.

"Where are you going?" El asked eagerly.

"We're gonna see a movie," Lucas wanted to follow his "technically" still ex-girlfriend, but his friends were hounding him with questions.

"The movie theater got ruined. It's closed." Mike pointed out.

"Is it a date?" Will smiled.

"Where are you actually going?" Dustin raised his eyebrows.

"Woah, calm down, guys. We are going to watch a movie just not at the theater," Lucas said slipping on his shoes, "And no, I will not tell you where because I don't need you four sneaking around," He said and walked out the door.

"10 bucks they kiss," Mike bet Dustin.

"20 bucks she kisses him first," Will says, getting in on the bet.

For once in her life, Max let Lucas lead. She didn't know where they were going, so she just skated behind him and his bike. Every once in a while, they would turn, but otherwise, it was a pretty straight shot. They arrived at some lakehouse Max had never seen before. She thought it was on Lover's Lake before she saw its size. Lover's Lake was a lot bigger, but it had been destroyed, due to the gate located at the bottom.

"Where the hell are we?" Max asked as Lucas got out a key and unlocked the front door.

"It's my uncle's place, but he's out of town for the next few months." The house was just slightly smaller than the Wheeler's place. Max had never seen a place cleaner and more beautifully decorated than this one. "There are tons of movies in that cabinet next to the TV if you want to look while I make popcorn."

Max was looking through the VHS tapes when suddenly she started to become nervous. What is wrong with her? It's just Lucas, she thought to herself. However, deep down, Max knew why she was nervous. She was finally alone with the boy who would do anything for her. They had talked about what had happened but not about them. A part of her wished she had never broken up with him, but now, she had a chance to make it right again.
