"Almost showtime! Are you ready?" El asks Max as she paces back and forth, not paying attention.

"Max, stop," El grabs Max's arms, making her stop pacing and look at her.

"Sorry. But what if he changes his mind? What if he realizes he could do so much better than me?" Max says with worried eyes.

"Don't say that! Lucas loves you, and you guys are literal soulmates. He could never find someone better than you! Plus, I just spoke with him, so I know he's here."

Max let out a sigh of relief and made her way over to the mirror.

"Do I look okay?"

"Are you kidding me? You look fantastic!"

"Are you kidding me? You look fantastic!"

"I have never seen you this nervous before. The fact that it's because of my nerd of a brother is beyond me," Erica chimes in. El and Max laugh at her remark as Max's dad walks in.

"I think the last time I saw you in a dress was when you were 3," Mr. Mayfield said, leaning on the doorway.  Max smiled at her dad and went to hug him.

"EVERYONE READY?" The wedding planner yelled as the groomsmen and bridesmaids got ready to walk down the aisle. Soon enough, it was Max's turn. As soon as Max and her dad turned the corner, all eyes were on her. She hated it, all the attention. However, she remembered what Lucas told her a few days ago, "You can just look at me. I'll be right there with you the whole time." Max took a deep breath and locked eyes with the love of her life and, just like that, all her worries disappeared.

Once Lucas saw her, his eyes widen and his mouth dropped. He held in his tears, knowing that he and Max would make a fool out of themselves by laughing at each other.

After a few words were said, it was time for their vows. Max got to go first.

"Lucas Sinclair, where do I even start? It seems like just yesterday you were stalking me around school," Lucas laughed and shook his head. "We went through a lot together, more than what any teenager should've, but it was fine because you were right by my side. Whenever I am upset, you always cheer me up before I go to bed. My dad use to always tell me never to date a boy who lets you go to sleep angry. You never have. If I was having a bad day, you were right there with me. My life would be drastically different if you weren't in it. You saved me. You truly saved me, Lucas Sinclair. Without you, I probably wouldn't have learned how to love, trust, or shoot a stupid wrist rocket," Max says, laughing through her tears. "I will be forever grateful that you came into my life. I love you."

"Your vows, Mr. Sinclair."

Lucas wipes his eyes and unfolds his piece of paper. "Maxine Mayfield, you have brought so much light into my life. I knew from the moment you stepped into Mr. Clarke's classroom you would have an impact on my life. I didn't know that 10 years later we would be here, but I am so happy we are. Do I know what you saw in me back in middle school? Heck no. I was just a tense, nerdy kid trying to find out who got first place in dig dug. But you must've seen something because you gave me a chance, in fact, multiple chances. You taught me way more than all those books could've. Like, how to not take life so seriously and to just enjoy the moment without worrying about the future. You helped me not be so hard on myself, and you also made me believe in soulmates. I love you too."

"Lucas Sinclair, do you take Maxine Mayfield as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"Maxine Mayfield, do you take Lucas Sinclair as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

They both slide rings onto each other's fingers.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

They smile at each other as Max leans in first, just like their first kiss. Lucas dips her swiftly as they keep their lips interlocked.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair both walk down the aisle, hands intertwined as their friends and family cheer for them.

life has been so chaotic, and I spent a lot of time with my family these past few weeks, leaving little time to write, so I am sorry about that. I'm hoping that I'll keep up with writing but expect not so consistent posts from me. With school starting up again, and I'm still in sports at the moment, it is still kinda crazy for me. By the end of February, I should be consistently posting again! I'm still going through all the suggestions, and I will get to all of them, I promise!! I was thinking of doing a part 2 to this. It would be the reception part of the wedding. Would you guys want a part 2 or should I just leave it how it is?
