"What movie are we watching tonight?" Mike asks, turning the tv on. The girls agreed on Karate Kid, and the boys were fine with that. Everyone was chilling on the couch just watching the movie. El kept eyeing Max while laughing, making the boys wondering what the heck they were doing.

"I swear to god, El, if you laugh one more time..." Dustin was getting frustrated with her giggling.

"Dude, chill," Mike retaliates. 

"I don't understand what's so funny?" El looked at Max and smiled.

"She's just laughing because a while ago I told her Ralph Macchio is hot," Max explained.

"You don't still think he's hot, do you?" Lucas asked, wanting a little reassurance.

"No, I do. He is my celebrity crush, I mean, imagine learning all those moves just for a role!" This gave Lucas an idea. He would learn how to do the crane kick better than ralph macchio. At first, Lucas thought he was jealous of ralph, but Lucas realized he just wanted to impress his girlfriend. After the movie in Mike's basement, everyone went home.

That night Lucas decided to start learning how to do the crane kick. Now the first couple of attempts, he looked like a kangaroo trying to kick someone. Believe it or not, that is not what Lucas was going for. It took almost an hour for Lucas to get the hang of what to do. Out of breath and sweaty, Lucas decided to be done trying for the night.

A couple of days later, he had enough practice and was finally getting it. It's a pretty easy move, but Lucas struggled to get his leg up high enough. One night while he was practicing, there was a knock on his window. Thank god his curtains were closed, Lucas thought. He opened the window out of breath, letting Max in.

"Did I interrupt something?" Max questioned since he was out of breath.

"No, I was just umm doing push-ups. Yeah, I was doing push-ups!"

"Lucas, I'm not stupid I know you can't do a push-up," she laughed. "What were you doing? Or do I not want to know...?" Max said with a slightly disturbed face.

"No, I was not doing that! I was practicing..."

"Just spit it out, Stalker."

"Fine. I was practicing my crane kick." she gave him a weird look as to why he was trying to do karate.

"Are you taking up karate or something?"

"No." Max was still confused until she realized what he was trying to do.

"Were you going to try to impress me?" She asked with a wide smile.

"What? Pfft, no."

"You so were! Once you found out I liked Ralph Macchio you got jealous," she teased.

"I am not jealous," he retorted. "I just wanted to see if I could do it."

"Well, let's see it then," Max sat on his bed, wanting to see if he was actually successful in learning this move.

"Do I have to?"

"Yup!"

"Ugh fine," he lifted his arms and kick out his right foot.

"That wasn't too bad, Stalker," she grinned. He laughed, feeling kind of proud of himself. Lucas laid down next to Max on his bed. She turned to look at him and laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" he chuckled.

"You wanted to impress me so you learned a karate move," at this point, Max was dying from laughter.

"Oh whatever," he rolled his eyes.
