This takes place before my first one-shot named "boy" this was also requested.
Ever since Max was a kid she never thought she'd find her soulmate. She never thought that she'd get to have a family of her own with someone who loves her unconditionally. That all changed when she met Lucas Sinclair. Max would never admit it but when they were teenagers she thought about how they'd spend their lives together. How many kids they would have, what their wedding would look like, and what it would be like living together. They're both 26 now and everything Max imagined is slowly falling into place. Max and Lucas tied the knot when they were 25 and moved into a house they bought together not long after that. Today is their first wedding anniversary and even though they both had to work they made a plan for the evening.
Lucas tossed his keys on the table beside the front door as he came home from work. Max always got home 30 minutes after Lucas. He planned to use that to his advantage today. Grabbing the flowers he got her and placing them in a vase with a card next to them. He hopped in the shower quickly and got dressed. A few months ago Lucas made a reservation for a restaurant Max had been dying to go to. You had to make a reservation way in advance and the waitlist was months long. He buttoned up his shirt just when he heard the door close. Max was home.
"Stalker I'm home," she yelled coming up the stairs. She walked into their bedroom and saw Lucas all dressed up.
"Oh, so you remembered?"
"Remembered what?" Lucas smirked sarcastically. Max rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Now I need you to put on one of your nicest outfits and meet me downstairs."
"What did you plan?"
"You'll see. Now get dressed."Lucas sat in the kitchen waiting for his wife to come down. It took her about 25 minutes to get ready. He heard her shoes clacking down the stairs and turned around. There she was... in a slick black dress with her hair slightly curled. Lucas stood there for a second to take in the sight.
"Is this good?" Max asked self consciously.
"You look amazing," Lucas made his way over to Max and put his hands on her waist while kissing her.
"Let's go," he grabbed his jacket and made his way to the door.
"Where are we going?" Max followed behind him giggling.
"It's a surprise."
"You know I hate surprises," Max complained getting in the car.
"I know but it's a good surprise."They drove to the restaurant and Max looked at him when they pulled in.
"You did not," she smiled.
"I did too."
"Lucas, they had a waitlist for like 5 months last time I checked when did you get a reservation?"
"The first time you mentioned it. So like 6 months ago."
"You're joking."
"Nope let's go!" They went into the restaurant and got to their table. In between ordering and eating they would reminisce about their childhood.
"No you and the boys would follow me around like all day," she said in between fits of laughter.
"We were just trying to figure out if you were MadMax or not," Lucas explained laughing as much as Max was.
"Yeah, ok Stalker."An hour or two later they got home and decided to watch Karate Kid.
"Ralph Macchio is still hot," Max says looking at the screen.
"Wow, what am I chopped liver?"
"Oh please you know I love you," she replied giving him a kiss that went on for a while. He took her hips kissing her neck and brushing her bareback under her dress. Max in her close-fitting dress was too good of a show for Lucas.
"Where'd all this fire come from, Stalker?" Max laughed, closing her eyes.
"It's not my fault you're so beautiful," Lucas whispered in her ear making goosebumps arrive on Max's skin. She laughed and pulled Lucas in by his tie, kissing his lips.Seducing Lucas was one of the things that Max loved to do. Her husband's hands were already catching inches of skin beneath her dress and Max smiled in between kisses. Since they have their own house nothing and nobody could disturb them.
It wasn't until a few weeks later that Max didn't feel good. She was also late and knew what could've happened. Max was nervous going to the drug store to buy a test. 'Why am I nervous? I'm not a teenager anymore and I'm married' she repeated to herself multiple times. The married couple wasn't exactly trying for a child but they weren't careful anymore. So, when Max took that pregnancy test and it came out positive she felt kinda conflicted. Yes, she wanted a kid but at the same time, she didn't know if she was ready. She pushed off the thought until she was done with work that day. Before she got home Max stopped and got a box to put the test in. She wanted Lucas to have to unwrap it later.
When Max got home Lucas was already in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"Hey, babe ooh whatcha makin?"
"I'm making (your favorite meal bc idk lol)."
"It smells really good."
"What are you hiding," Lucas peered behind her trying to see what she was hiding behind her back.
"It's for you..." she gave him the box not knowing how he'd react. He opened it slowly, questioning what it could be. Once he saw the test and that it had two lines a huge smile engulfed his face. Lucas lifted Max into a hug spinning them around.
"Put me down you're making me dizzy," Max laughed. He put her down and said sorry while laughing.
"So you're really okay with this?"
"Okay with it? I'm thrilled about the thought of having a kid with you."
"Really?"
"Yes I love you so much and I can't wait to meet this little one," Lucas said kneeling and kissing her belly. "We got this don't worry."
"I love you."
"I love you more," he said as he planted a kiss on her lips. This one was requested and it comes before the first one-shot I made called "boy" I hope you enjoyed it and have a good day!
