Lumax One Shots

-this takes places after billy died so max hasn't been going to school
-will and el obviously moved so they aren't at school
-Max has distanced herself a bit from the party

Lucas, Dustin, and Mike were sitting at the lunch table eating when he showed up.
"Wassup midnight now where's the redhead? Did she leave you already?" Troy laughed with his friends behind him. Lucas stayed silent not wanting to deal with his bullshit today.
"Why so silent huh? I mean come on I think she can come to school. Her brother died a while ago is she that pathetic. Like, get over it," Troy hissed. This sent Lucas over the edge.
"You don't know what the fuck she's been through!" Lucas said shoving Troy.
"I know she's pretty uptight and bitchy."
"She is the toughest person I know and has been through so much shit in her life! Don't you dare talk about her like that!"
"Woah protective much."
Lucas threw the first punch hitting Troy square in the mouth.
"Oh, it's on now!" Troy huffed and punched Lucas leaving him with a black eye.
Lucas would've punched him again if it wasn't for the teachers breaking the fight up.

After School

"El I just don't know what to do anymore," Max huffed while talking to El on the phone.
"Well, I think you should go back to the party. Mike says everyone there misses you especially Lucas," El sympathetically encouraged.
"Yeah well after Billy..." Max took a deep breath to keep her emotions in. "They just look at me like I'm a lost puppy...helpless."
"They just feel bad Max."
"I know but that's the thing I don't want them to pity me. It makes me feel like some helpless 4 year old."
"I bet if you tell them that then maybe they would try to change it."
"I know but I said some pretty nasty things to Lucas the last time I saw him. I'm pretty sure none of them want me around anymore."

Flashback

"I honestly can't do this right now Lucas. Can you just leave me alone," Max said softly trying not to lose her cool and go off on Lucas.
"No, I want to help you! You can't just stay in your room all day it's not helping you. You need to get out and go do something."
"Will you just leave. Please."
"Max I want to help you!"
"But you can't Lucas why don't you understand that! Just leave me alone!" Max yelled at him.
"Max..." Lucas said sympathetically.
"NO, get out!" Max demanded while kicking him out of her house.

End of Flashback

"Max you need to talk to him. Did you hear about the fight?" El questioned.
"No what fight?" Max asked confused.
"Mike told me that today at lunch Lucas and Troy got in a fight about you."
"Over what? Did Troy say something?" Max said not too surprised Troy was involved.
"Yeah he called you weak and a couple of other insults and Lucas wasn't having it. Apparently, Lucas took the first swing."
"Omg, I have to go apologize to him."
"Yeah, you better!"
"Ok ok, I'm going."

Max POV

I pushed open my window and jumped out onto the ground. I started running to Lucas' house. On my way there darks cloud started to roll in. It started pouring rain but I kept running no matter how much I hated storms.

Lucas POV

I looked out my window and realized a storm was on its way. Whenever there was a storm I was always with Max. There was something about storms that always made her uneasy so I was always there to comfort her. In fact, I promised I would go to her house every time there was a storm. Considering our last conversation I doubt she wants to see me. But I promised and I don't break my promises.

General POV

Lucas decided to go to Max's house on foot so his bike wouldn't rust from the rain. He heard a clap of thunder and started running faster. Soon enough he saw something in the distance. Someone. He could tell it was her by her fiery red hair. The rain started getting heavier. She jumped into his arms straddling her legs around his waist.
"You are so stupid Stalker," Max said with a huge grin on her face running her hand over his black eye.
"I'm crazy for you Madmax," Lucas said staring into her eyes with his hands in her hair.

The gap between their lips immediately closed. Feeling the warmth of each other's skin mixed with the cold rain pouring down onto their bodies. The kiss was filled with passion and adoration. Both of them yearning for the taste of one another. Soon enough a strike of lightning broke them apart.
"I'm sorry for lashing out at you," Max said looking deep into his brown eyes.
"I love you, Max. Just because you got mad at me doesn't mean my feeling are gone. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me."
"I love you so much," Max said pulling him in for another kiss.
"I love you too. Now can we go inside before we get struck by lighting?"
"Yeah sure," Max laughed.

They made their way back to the Sinclair's hand in hand.
