N's son Neptune has long accepted that his own son died in tragic circumstances. So when he gets an unexpected call from a stranger in Galar, claiming that his son is alive and well, he doesn't know what to think.

I first started this timeline with Emerald in 2004 to coincide with its release date in the real world. At the time when I planned my stories, the time between games was believed to be canon (other than the time between Red/Blue and Emerald), but I think opinions have changed now. Oh well. It's fanfic!
Locations
As usual, I've expanded canon locations to a realistic scale for a story, based on their real life counterparts. The real life equivalents of my original regions are:
• Daytenne = California • Gharab = Morocco • Ogalesko = Wisconsin • Seri = Thailand
Ballonlea isn't based on Nottingham, but it's right by Glimwood Tangle (Sherwood Forest), so I've based my expansion of it on Nottingham. The suburbs I named are based on the Nottinghamshire suburbs of:
• Tarfield = Ashfield • Short Munchon = Long Eaton
The suburb where Volo and Zelimir lived is based on Thorneywood. Imagine this street but with mushrooms.

Media and corporations
Most of the musicians and songs that appear in my stories are fictional, but I based a few on real ones. Those would be:
• Blue Night = Green Day • Jewel James = Taylor Swift • King = Queen
The songs based on real ones are:
• Celestica Rhapsody = Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen • Old Scarf = All Too Well – Taylor Swift • Queenie's tattoos = Carolina – Taylor Swift
I'm not a massive fan of Bohemian Rhapsody, but it randomly came into my mind that in the Pokémon world, it's totally about Volo. It just fits him perfectly. Couldn't resist! As for Old Scarf, All Too Well is my favourite song, so I can't resist that either.
The VCP (Vullaby Celebrity Press) is based on celebrity gossip sites. Rotogram is based on Instagram and Roto-Bay is based on eBay.
The Ginkgo Guild was probably intended to stay in the past in the games, since it's not mentioned, but I decided it's become the Ginkgo Corporation by now and is still owned by Ginter's family.
