Ryuuzou Kousou arc 5/6

-Day 70 of Dragon's head conflict-

-Neutral POV-

"Ne, Kouyou-kun, do you think it's good?"

Mori is whining from the boss's seat, while Kouyou is forced to listen. Because of Colonel's death, Mori was already on the edge of his seat. He intended to hold the five-executive meeting, but something strange happened, disrupting his mental peace after a very long time.

A newspaper article was published this morning. Naming every organization involved in the conflict vaguely, including hints of a mysterious serial ability murderer roaming around.

The government rooted out the rumor almost right away. But that didn't stop the public from rioting. Out of fear, everyone is leaving Yokohama hurriedly, causing a huge uproar. The military police are getting overwhelmed trying to calm them and help them leave without destroying the city.

The conflict immediately went on hiatus, including the port mafia. They are all waiting for the next sign, to restart the fight. They will never give up on the 5 hundred billion yen.

"It obviously isn't bad." She chuckles slightly, sipping on her morning tea. "The conflict was getting too heated up, we finally got a breather."

"Eh?" Mori frowns at her, "'P Mafia, the largest contributor in the conflict.' That's us, isn't it?"

"Of course," Kouyou nods softly.

"The article paints us as the bad guy even though we have yet to cause any damage to the public."

"It's because the public has a hero protecting them." Kouyou puts down her cup, "The motives are unclear, but many of my men lived also because of it."

"Tending to both sides," Mori narrows his eyes, "Must be prepared to get scarred from both."

"Scary," Koyo comments, making Mori sigh. She picks up the newspaper in front of her, "The police have it tough. They pretended nothing was going on, but now they have to help the citizen evacuate. How scary some words can be."

"I'm wondering how it became such a big deal when we are so discreet. Not to mention, the article came out right when we're most vulnerable, losing an executive and his entire unit." Mori grits his teeth, "There's a traitor in the mafia. There's no way they planned this whole without inside help."

"We'll take care of that, you needn't worry." Kouyou stands up, smiling at her boss "Just tackle the pressure we will face from the media and overseas organizations."

"That's the most troublesome part."

Not so far from the mafia building Riki was walking down the streets while listening to Ango scolding her on phone.

"Listen to me, this is the last shenanigan, don't ever do anything like that!"

"But you're the one who helped me... from hiring the journalist to manipulating an entire newspaper company. We share the blame~" From the tone of her voice Ango can tell she is enjoying it, "Attacks received must be returned doubly, I'll probably get killed after this."
