Eddie PoV
Me and Steve were sitting on his couch, watching Friday 13th for the millionth time when the doorbell rang. Steve groaned and stood up, making his way to the front door. I sat in silence for a second before deciding to stand up and see what was taking him so long.
He was standing on the front porch, next to a big cardboard box with holes in the sides. He was chatting with the delivery guy. I walked up behind him and laced my arms around his waist. He chose not to look at me and he wrapped up his conversation.
He turned to face me and planted a kiss on my nose before untwisting himself from my grasp.
"Help me get this inside?" He asked me sweetly.
I nodded. "Anything for you princess. Do you know what's in it?"
He shook his head. "No idea. Its from my parents in Britain."
His parents are in Britain? I lifted the box gently and I swear I could hear something whimper. Steve opened the door for me and I set the box down on the lounge room floor. Steve sat down next to it and carefully peeled the tape away. He looked into the box and gasped.
"What. The. Fuck."
"What? What is it?" I asked.
He gestured for me to come closer and I peered into the box. A corgi puppy sat at the bottom, and it looked up at me with big blue eyes.
"Did they get you a fucking dog?"
He nodded, his eyes wide. He reached in and gently lifted the puppy out, and we found out she was a girl. She didn't have a name yet though.
She wondered around the room for a bit and I played with her while Steve was on the phone to Dustin.
Dustin got here in record time and immediately joined me in the lounge.
"What's her name?" He asked.
I shrugged. "The queen of England is Elizabeth."
Steve thought about it. "Ellie?"
Dustin nodded his head eagerly. "Yeah! We need to buy her some stuff"
He ran into Steve's desk drawer and grabbed a pen and paper.
"Umm toys, bowls, food, bed.." He wrote down each thing as he said it.
