A/n This takes place before Eddie and Steve are a thing

Steve's PoV

I sighed and placed Back to the Future on it's place on the shelf. It was Robin's day off and no one was in the store. It was so boring. I glanced at my watch and groaned again. There was still half an hour before I could close.

Just as I was contemplating leaving early and risking my job, the phone rang. I dropped the broom and jumped over the counter, lunging at it. I held it up to my ear.

"Hello, Steve at Family Video, what can I do for you?"

Two different peoples laughter echoed through the phone. I recognised one persons, Robin. I don't know who the other voice belongs to.

"Hey Rob, what's up?"

There was a ruffling noise as the phone was passed over. "Hey Stevie boy."

"Eddie." I felt the blush creep up my face and suddenly felt grateful that no one else was around.

"Yes darling. We were wondering-" Robins laughter interrupted Eddie and I heard shushing noises. The laughter subsided and raised my eyebrow.

'"Yes, sweetheart?" I asked sarcastically.

I heard Eddie's breath hitch. "Can we stay at your house tonight?"

"Sure. There's a key under the doormat, I'll be home soon." I said, glancing at the clock again.

Eddie relayed the message to Robin who squealed. "Thanks Steven!"

"Are you two drunk?"

Eddie shushed me. "Noooooooo- see you soon princess."

The phone clicked when he hung up. I put it in its spot and rolled my eyes. Those dumbasses are hammered. Mostly Robin though, she is a lightweight.

I don't trust them both in my house unsupervised so I locked up 5 minutes early. Surely Keith won't mind. I jumped into my car and drove as fast as I was allowed to.

Eddie's van was parked across the road and I parked on the driveway before slamming the car door shut and running up the driveway and into the house. The stereo was playing from the lounge room. I followed it and realised it was You give love a bad name by Bon Jovi.

I rolled my eyes and peeked in the room. Robin was dancing around the room singing terribly and Eddie was also singing, though much less terribly. Eddies face lit up when he saw me and he threw himself off the couch.

"Hi! I didn't realise you like this kinda music." He said slyly, leaning against the doorway.

"I don't mind it."

Eddie rolled his eyes and dragged me further into the room. Soon the three of us were jumping around and singing any song that came on.

She says we've got to hold on to what we've got

It doesn't make a difference if we make it or not

We've got each other and that's a lot for love

We'll give it a shot!

Whoa, we're halfway there

Whoa-oh, livin' on a prayer

Take my hand, we'll make it I swear

Whoa-oh, livin' on a prayer

The song (livin on a prayer) looped around for the third time. We still screamed it with as much energy as the first time. I collapsed down on the couch and Eddie followed suit. I noticed our hands were so close they were almost touching.

Robin ran to the bathroom and Eddie raised his eyebrow at me. I shrugged. I'd known her for a year and still couldn't figure out how her brain works. She came back, holding a small bag. I groaned. I had nicknamed it the case of doom and it contained some make up and nail polish.

She sat down on the floor and Eddie slid down off the couch and joined her. I watched them paint each others nails and then they looked at me. I immediately knew what they wanted.

"No!" I got up and tried to run but Eddie grabbed my wrist and threw me over his shoulder like a sack of potato's. He carried me effortlessly back to the lounge room and gently put me down on the floor.

I crossed my legs and pouted. Eddie sat behind me on the couch. He nudged leant over next to my ear.

"Be a good boy." he whispered.

I felt my face heat up and I gave Robin my hand. She took it eagerly and painted carefully. When she was done I admired them. She had chosen navy blue on most fingers, but black on the ring fingers.

Robin got up and stretched. "I'm going to bed- and I'm not sharing."

She turned up the stairs and I chased her halfway up. "Not my bed!"

She ran like hell and slammed my bedroom door. "Thanks Steven!"

I groaned and poked my head around the stairs. Eddie stood there, arms crossed and smirking.

"You do realise we have to share now?"

His smile only got wider. "Lead the way then! I'm suddenly veryyy tired."

I rolled my eyes and walked up the stairs into the guest room. I climbed into the side furthest from the door and turned my back to Eddie who lingered in the doorway.

"C'mon" I mumbled.

He threw off his jacket and closed the door softly, jumping into bed. He wrapped his arms around my waist hesitantly. I snuggled into his warmth and he sighed in relief.

"Goodnight Princess." He said softly, nuzzling my neck.

A/n

I grew up listening to Eddie's type of music so listening to Livin on a prayer (an old one of my favourites) definitely brought back heaps of memories.
Also I found out that's Steve's full name is Steven Edward Harrington??
Anyway now that that's done I'm gonna go Minecraft.

Bye!
