Steve's Pov

I sat in the grand pavilion with my siblings eating lunch. About halfway through, Dustin Henderson (Athena) and Erica Sinclair (Hephaestus) ran up to me.

"Steve! Steve! There's a new kid! He just got here and Chiron says you have to go to the big house immediately!" Dustin said. His face was slightly pink from running down here from The Big House.

I nodded quickly and stood up, biding my fellow Aphrodite kids goodbye. Erica led me to the house and Dustin went to go find Robin, senior counsellor of Hermes. When we got to the house, I walked up the stair's to the meeting room.

Inside sat the other cabin's senior counsellors, Chiron, Mr D and one boy I didn't recognize. He had long brown curly hair, and was wearing black jeans with some sort of band tee. It read Corroded Coffin.

I smiled politely and sat on one of the bean bags. Robin and Jason (Zeus) ran in and Robin took the bean bag next to me.

Chiron stomped his back leg and we all fell silent. He looked around the room, smiling at each of us. "I am deeply sorry to interrupt your days, and you must be wondering why I have. This young man, is Edward Munson-"

"It's Eddie." The boy interrupted.

Chiron smiled at him. "Yes- sorry."

I elbowed Robin and gave her a look to say 'I can't believe he just did that' and she nodded, her eyes slightly wide.

We all respected and valued Chiron. We knew he would never hurt us, but no one would ever dare to interrupt, let alone correct the centaur.

"-He's arrived and he brought a letter with him, addressed to the Campers here. I haven't read it yet but he says it's important." Chiron finished.

Eddie leant against the pool table with his arms folded over his chest, looking very bored. It'd better be important with the way he just waltz's in and starts being an obnoxious ass.

He glanced over at me an our eyes met briefly before I looked away.

"Who's gonna read it out? Steve?" Chiron asked.

He chose me because I have the best voice and I'm also the best at speaking to large groups. Thanks mum.

I nodded and stood up, walking over to beside Chiron. Eddie passed me the letter and out fingers met for a second.

A small boy with curly hair sat on the floor in the lounge room while an older lady, probably his Nanny sat in a chair and watched him.

"Sandra! Sandra look!" the little boy called out with a smile on his face. He pointed to a daisy sitting in a flower pot by the window sill.

It had turned brown and was drooping. It was dying. The Nanny, Sandra gasped and stood up, scooping the little boy into her arms.

A tall man with jet black hair and pale white skin appeared in the doorway. He gave off a cold, Deathly aura. Hades, God of the Dead and Lord of the Underworld.

He glided across the carpet and over to the Nanny and boy. He stood in front of them and Sandra cowered slightly.

He smiled slightly and it only made him seem even scarier. But the warmth of his smile was reflected in his eyes.

"How are you Eddie?"

I shivered as a chill shot through me. I took the envelope and moved my hand away from Eddie's. I don't know what just happened, but I don't like it.

The envelope read "Camp Half blood" in fancy calligraphy. I slipped it open and pulled out the letter.

I skimmed it over to get the rough idea before I read it out to my peers. I cleared my throat and they all involuntarily lent forward a little. I tend to have that effect on people.

"Dear Campers,
There is danger coming for me and my son. I send him to you for protection and education.

He needs training, and any he receives will greatly improve his chances at life. I, myself, have gone into full lockdown and am hidden away.

When Edward is finished his training, or at least covered enough basics to survive. I have a quest for him and two other brave souls.

He will know where to find me when the time is right but until then, goodluck.

-Hades, Lord of the Underworld. "

I finished reading and handed the letter to Chiron, taking my seat next to Robin. There was a silence as people processed what I said.

"Well that's a fun way to spend our Summer." Jason said, breaking the silence.

Chrissy (Demeter) looked around nervously as if someone was gonna pop out of the shadows and scream "boo!"

"Okay but who's gonna train the twig?" Billy of Ares asked.

Chrion looked at him, with an eyebrow raised.

Eddie stood up straighter. "I am not a twig and I'm far more superior than you are."

Billy opened his mouth to respond and Chiron stomped his hoof again. "Enough!"

The room fell silent once again as we waited for Chirons next words. "Since there is less people in the Aphrodite Cabin, Eddie will train and attend their classes. Same as Jason does. Any complaining and you're stuck on dish duty. You're all dismissed for now, I'll summon you again after your afternoon classes. Steve show Eddie around, I'm sure your cabin won't miss you too much."

Robin snickered. "About time someone other than me got stuck with the new kid." she whispered to me as we stood up.

I waved Eddie over who still looked quite unimpressed with the whole ordeal. Robin ran of to the lake, Hermes cabin had conoe lessons, and I led Eddie back over to the cabins.

"So what's your deal man? Are you the son of some minor god?" he asked as I pointed out the three cabins at the top.

"No. I'm a child of Aphrodite."

He snickered. "The love goddess?"

"At least she had a cabin before two Years ago." I snapped back.

He shrugged. "Death has always been feared, it's a fact of life. Makes sense you wusses kept it out for as long as you could."

A/n
Okay this was supposed to be a funny little au but now i want to turn this into a whole ass fanfic?? Someone needs to hold me back.

Also yes I've been posting more than usual, I know. I've just had an overflow of ideas an inspiration to write.

Also thanks to ripmymxntalhealth for Steve's  cabin <3

I think a few may be a little controversial but whatever. What would you have put each character into?

Random and even more controversial opinion; Jason would be in Hufflepuff. Am I basing this on logic? Yes. And there is no way you can change my mind. I dare you to try.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the unwavering support. The reads, the comments, votes, shares and saves all mean the literal world for me.

Love y'all and make sure to drink water and try to eat smth! <3
