New Years Eve

A/n Happy New Year!! This takes place in modern time and is inspired by the Madi Gras party in Heartbreak High. (The playlist above is what I listened to while writing I def recommend)

Robin's PoV
Eddie and I pulled up out the front of Steve's house and ran inside excitedly. Steve was standing in the kitchen, holding a bottle of tequila in one of his hands and a shot glass in his other.

"Wow you couldn't even wait till we got here." Eddie said. He walked over to Steve and put his hands on Steve's waist, drawing him in for a kiss.

I looked away, suddenly very interested in the wallpaper Steve's parents chose for the kitchen.

"Nah, I've only had one so far." Steve said finally, which I took as a sign they had finished swapping spit.

Eddie dug around in the cupboard and found two more plastic pink shot glasses and threw one to me. I caught it then held it out to Steve who poured one for each of us.

The three of us raised our drinks and then tipped our heads back, downing the tequila. We made our way to the lounge room and turned the radio on.

Steve was sitting in Eddie's lap on the couch and I sat in front of them on the floor.

"Okay but like- did you see how they looked at each other!?" Steve said excitedly.

He was talking about Eddie's friend Gareth and one of Jason's goons, Andy.

I giggled. "They're like mini versions of you two."

Eddie rolled his eyes. "You two are gossip queens."

Steve pouted. "No we're not."

"Yes you are princess. Who cares if Andy and Gareth are fuck-" Eddie's face fell and Steve's lit up.

"What? You know something? Are they actually yknow?" I bursted with questions.

Eddie looked around nervously like he was afraid someone would overhear our conversation even though we were the only ones here.

"Alright. Fine, I'll tell you, but you guys can't tell a soul. They started hooking up at the start of term, but they're not serious serious yet."

There was a knock on the door and I jumped up. Steve nodded for me to open it and I ran out of the lounge room, leaving the boys behind.

I opened the door and revealed Nancy and Jonathan. They both smiled at me and I moved aside to let them in.

"Hi Rob. Are the guys in the lounge room?" Nancy asked, looking around.

I nodded and followed them both in. Nancy sat in the floor and Jonathan sat next to Eddie. Steve was in the process of pouring their drinks when the doorbell rang.

I tripped over my own feet trying to run back to the door and I heard Steve laugh.

"Fuck you dingus!" I yelled at him as I opened the door.

Vickie smiled at me. "Hi Robin!"

I smiled at both her and Chrissy and once again moved to the side to let them in.

"Everyone else is in the lounge room doing shots. We haven't started getting ready yet." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck.

Chrissy hugged me. "Thanks for inviting me. I don't get out much after breaking up with Jason."

I felt my cheeks heat up and she took a step back, ignoring the pink tint I imagined my face had now. We walked to the lounge room, where Steve and Jonathan had "Tik Tok" by Kesha on and were dancing to.
