Quinn stood at Beth's hospital bedside with tears in her eyes, though she tried to remain strong in front of her daughter.

Beth was asleep, and Quinn jumped at the knock at the door.

Wiping her tears, Quinn hesitantly excused herself from the room.

"Mercedes." Quinn said softly.

"Hey." Mercedes replied as she hugged Quinn. "You okay? How's she doing?"

"Not good." Quinn answered as the girls parted. "And there's nothing I can do to help her."

Mercedes furrowed her eyebrow.

"I'm not a match for anything." Quinn clarified. "Blood type, bone marrow."

"Maybe he is?" Mercedes suggested.

Quinn shook her head. "I'm not calling him."

"Why not?" Mercedes asked.

"Because he doesn't even know about her." Quinn stated. "I kept her from him all this time. Why would he help me?"

"Call him." Mercedes advised Quinn. "He's not heartless, Quinn. If he knew how serious this was, he would help."

"He might not even be a match either." Quinn stated.

"But he might be."

-

"Hello?"

"Hey, Puck." Quinn said nervously. "It's Quinn. Fabray."

"Fabray." Puck repeated. "Wow, it's been a long time."

"Almost five years." Quinn noted.

"Yeah." Puck said. "What's up?"

"I, uh... I moved to New York after college." Quinn answered. "Actually, I was hoping that I could see you. It's kind of an emergency."

"An emergency?" Puck repeated. "What's going on?"

"I'd rather explain in person." Quinn told Puck.

"You moved away without saying anything and suddenly you wanna see me as soon as possible for some emergency?" Puck questioned Quinn.

"I know and I'm sorry." Quinn apologized. "I wouldn't be bothering you if I didn't have to."

"Alright." Puck said. "Well, lucky for you, I'm in New York so let me know when you wanna see me."

"The sooner the better." Quinn told Puck as she took a deep breath. "Does tonight work?"

"Dinner?" Puck suggested.

"I'll text you the address."

-

Quinn tapped her foot anxiously as she picked at her nails, waiting at the table for Puck. She hadn't seen him since high school, and she wasn't even sure that he'd show up.

"Quinn?"

Quinn jumped and took a deep breath as she turned to look at Puck.

"I didn't mean to scare you." Puck said, apologetically as he joined Quinn at the table. "It's good to see you. You look great."

"Thanks for coming." Quinn nodded.

"Yeah, it sounded like a life or death thing." Puck teased.

Quinn chuckled awkwardly. "Y-Yeah."

"What's going on?" Puck wondered.

"I have to ask you for a favor." Quinn began. "But before I do, I have to tell you something."
