Christmas Ornament (Quicketh)

"So how does it feel to be finished with your first semester of college?" Puck asked as he and Quinn headed to pick Beth up from daycare.

"It feels good." Quinn responded. "I'm actually really looking forward to going home for the holidays now. And seeing everybody."

"Yeah." Puck agreed. "Finn and Santana are going home."

"Mercedes, too." Quinn said. "It'll be nice for Beth to see everyone."

"It'll be nice for you and me to see each other." Puck added.

"What are you talking about?" Quinn wondered.

"We're usually on opposite schedules." Puck pointed out. "And when we're both home, we're never alone."

"When we decided to come here, we talked about what it was gonna be like." Quinn reminded Puck.

"I know that." Puck said. "And I'm not complaining. I just think we should put more effort into date nights going forward."

"We have date nights almost every week." Quinn reminded Puck.

"Which were mostly spent with you doing homework and then going to bed." Puck muttered.

Quinn furrowed her eyebrow and looked at Puck.

"I'm sorry." Puck apologized. "I know college is completely different from high school, but I just like spending time with you."

"Me, too." Quinn said. "And I'm really glad you're here."

"Me, too." Puck agreed.

"Beth's asleep." Quinn announced as she returned to the living room.

"Good." Puck said.

"She told me you called her Christmas ornament ugly." Quinn stated, rejoining Puck on the couch.

"What Christmas ornament?" Puck asked.

"The snowman that she made." Quinn answered.

"I said it was ugly and then when she told me she made it, I said I meant that in a good way." Puck clarified.

"You can't tell our daughter that." Quinn stated.

"I thought she understood what I meant." Puck responded.

Quinn shook her head. "I knew you and I grew up different from each other, but we have to encourage her."

"What does that mean?" Puck furrowed his eyebrow.

"It means even if you think the ornament is ugly, you tell her she did a good job and it needs to go on the tree because it's so beautiful."
