"Hello?" Puck answered the phone.

"Puckerman." Burt said. "It's Burt Hummel. What are you up to?"

"Hi, Mr. H." Puck replied. "Not much. What's up?"

"Carole said I missed your visit yesterday." Burt noted. "So if you're still in Lima, I was hoping if you'd join me on the boat today."

"That would be great." Puck said. "But I have Beth. I'm taking her back to New Haven in a few days."

"Beth's invited, too." Burt offered. "Or Carole can watch her. Up to you."

"Let me talk to her and I'll call you back."

"Okay."

"One sec."

-

"Hey." Burt smiled as Puck got out of his car.

"Hey." Puck responded, helping Beth out of the car. "Sorry we're late. B, say hi to Mr. H."

"Burt." Burt insisted as he shook Puck's hand and looked at Beth. "Hi, Beth."

"Hi." Beth smiled.

"It's good to see both of you." Burt noted. "She's getting so big."

"Yeah, she's starting kindergarten in a few weeks." Puck told Burt. "Quinn just started classes."

"I remember when she looked like Quinn." Burt said with a smile.

"Yeah." Puck nodded, looking at Beth as he unloaded the car. "She's got Quinn's nose and ears, but her hair's getting so dark and she's got my face. Although, she definitely has the Fabray attitude and power like her mom."

"I can tell." Burt nodded. "Let me give you a hand with this stuff and then we'll head out."

"I got it." Puck promised. "Will you keep an eye on B?"

"Of course." Burt replied.

"Thanks." Puck said. "Beth, stay with Burt, okay?"

"Okay, Daddy."

-

"Guess she takes after her mom with the seasickness, too." Puck noted, returning to Burt.

"Is she okay?" Burt asked. "We can go back to shore."

"She's okay." Puck promised. "Luckily, she's not as bad as Quinn. She said she wants to lay down until she feels better and then she wants to catch a big fish."

Burt smiled. "Sounds like a plan."

"Yeah." Puck nodded, and the two men paused for a moment. "Thanks again for inviting us. I know it's different with Beth around, but she was so excited when I told her you called."

"She's a good kid." Burt nodded back. "She's always welcome to come."

"Thank you." Puck repeated with a smile.

"Yeah." Burt said. "So you're probably wondering why I wanted to take you fishing today."

"Kinda." Puck confessed. "It's been a while."

"Do you remember the first time I took you and Finn out here?" Burt questioned Puck.

"Yeah, Finn was horrible." Puck reminisced. "Although, he did catch a big one and then none of us got a nibble the rest of the day."

"Yeah." Burt said with a small smile. "Do you remember what you said to me that day?"

"No." Puck admitted sheepishly.

"It's okay." Burt promised. "You thanked me for taking you, and you said it meant a lot that Carole and I treated you like family."

"It did." Puck nodded. "It does."

"Finn was your brother." Burt noted. "And you've been checking in on us and everyone else since he's been gone."

"I'm just doing what he'd want me to." Puck said. "He'd do the same for Beth and my sister if the roles were reversed."

"Yeah." Burt agreed. "Well, I was thinking."

Puck looked at Burt.

"And this is just a suggestion, but... why don't we start the annual fishing trips again?" Burt offered.

"You and me?" Puck asked.

"Why not?" Burt shrugged. "I can share some of the wisdom I've been giving to Kurt and Finn and Blaine, and we can catch up and hang out."

"Yeah." Puck nodded. "Yeah, I'd really like that."

"Me, too." Burt said with a smile.

Puck smiled back and shook Burt's hand before digging into his pockets and pulling out cigars.

Burt looked at Puck.

"Hopefully Beth won't narc on me, but I figured these would come in handy." Puck noted. "For old times' sake."

"For old times' sake." Burt repeated. "For Finn."

"For Finn."
