"Hey, Quinn, wait up."
Quinn turned and looked at Sam. "Hey, Sam."
"Hey." Sam smiled.
"What's up?" Quinn asked.
"You talked about doing something special with Beth this year." Sam began. "So I was wondering if you wanted to join me and Rory and ring bells and collect money for the Salvation Army."
"Yeah, I would love that." Quinn told Sam. "But Noah and I have been arguing about what we're gonna do with Beth."
Sam furrowed his eyebrows.
"He wants her to go do Artie's show and then meet me, but I want her to prioritize giving back and helping the less fortunate, so we're figuring it out." Quinn clarified. "But either way, I'll be there."
"Cool." Sam smiled. "I'll text you, but Rory and I will pick you up."
"Cool." Quinn repeated. "Thanks."
-
"Noah, I'm not arguing about this anymore." Quinn stated. "Sam and Rory will be here any minute. You and Beth can go do Artie's thing. You win."
"Can't you just come with us and then we can all go do whatever you want after?" Puck suggested. "Or another night?"
Quinn shook her head. "I don't have a part anyway, but it's fine. I'll see you later."
"Quinn." Puck said softly.
"I have to go." Quinn noted, pocketing her phone. "They're here."
"Quinn." Puck repeated.
"Bye, Beth. I love you." Quinn said, kissing Beth's cheek. She looked at Puck. "Good luck at the show."
Quinn walked out of the house and got in the passenger seat of Sam's car. "Hey, Sam."
"Hey, Quinn." Sam replied. "All set?"
"Yeah." Quinn nodded. "Thanks for picking me up."
"Sure." Sam nodded back as he started driving. "Puck and Beth are going to Artie's show, huh?"
"Yeah." Quinn replied. "Where's Rory?"
"He said he's gonna try to come after the show." Sam answered.
Quinn furrowed her eyebrows.
"At least you didn't bail on me." Sam added with a smile.
"Yeah."
-
"So you said you've been doing this for a few weeks." Quinn noted. "When do we call it quits? Nobody's been by in a while."
"Yeah, the movie theater across the street is showing It's a Wonderful Life tonight." Sam replied. "So we'll clean up after they clear out."
"Good 'cause I'm freezing." Quinn stated.
Sam looked at Quinn. "It's really cool that you came tonight, even without Puck and Beth."
"Yeah, I really wanted to teach Beth the true meaning of Christmas this year." Quinn explained. "Especially since who knows where we'll be next year."
"Well, Christmas is still a few weeks away." Sam pointed out, turning when he got hit with a snowball.
"Noah?" Quinn called.
"The show's over." Puck noted. "Well, all the scenes that they needed me and Beth for, so we figured we'd bundle up and come bring Mommy and Sam some hot chocolate."
Quinn smiled as she scooped Beth up, kissing her cheek as she put her on her hip while Puck handed Sam a to go cup of hot chocolate.
"Beth, you wanna ring a bell?" Sam asked.
Beth nodded slowly.
"Come here." Sam said. "I'll show you."
Quinn put Beth down and smiled as she walked over to Sam. He handed her a bell and helped her.
"How's it going here?" Puck asked.
"Pretty good." Quinn said as she turned to Puck. "So how'd the show go?"
"Finn and I had a duet and Beth was really cute, but you know." Puck shrugged. "I couldn't stop thinking about everything you said."
"Yeah, isn't that hot chocolate for me?" Quinn asked.
"Right." Puck nodded, handing it to Quinn. "But I meant the holiday priorities. I want Beth to know what it's all about, like you said."
"Really?" Quinn questioned Puck.
"Yeah." Puck said. "On the way over here, she was talking about how much fun she had and how she was excited about being on TV, and I told her it was good and she did good, but we should remember what you said about giving back and appreciating what we have."
"You really mean that?" Quinn wondered.
"Would we be here if I didn't?"
