"Hey, guys." Jake said, letting Quinn and Puck into his apartment. "Good to see you."

"Good to see you, too, bro." Puck smiled as he and Jake hugged. "Congratulations."

"Thank you." Jake smiled back when he and Puck parted.

"Congrats, Jake." Quinn added. "We're really happy for you and Marley."

"Thanks." Jake nodded. "I'm gonna go see if she's almost ready, and then we can go."

"Okay." Puck nodded back as Jake walked away. He put his arm around Quinn and looked at her. "I'm so happy for them."

"Me, too." Quinn agreed. "They're gonna be great parents."

"Yeah." Puck said as Jake returned with Marley.

"Hey, Quinn. Hi, Puck." Marley smiled.

"Hi, Marley." Quinn responded. "Congratulations! How are you feeling?"

"Okay." Marley shrugged. "I've been sick, but I'm okay. And Jake's been really, really sweet."

"That's a Puckerman gene for sure." Quinn noted. "We're really happy for both of you, and if you need anything, you can ask us."

"Yeah, Quinn's the expert on pregnancy and labor and delivery." Puck added proudly.

"Well, if you guys are up for it, we'd love to pick your brains over lunch."

"Of course."

-

"So." Puck began, putting his menu down. "What do you wanna know?"

"Everything." Marley answered. "Quinn, did you ever hate Puck when you were pregnant?"

"No." Quinn shook her head. "When I was pregnant with Beth, I was miserable, but I didn't hate him. And he was so good with Hudson and Lucy."

Marley nodded slowly.

"The only time I hated Noah was during delivery." Quinn added. "But he always helped me through everything. And he got good at knowing my cravings and food aversions and things like that."

"What was the hardest part about being pregnant?" Marley wondered.

"The mood swings and the emotions." Quinn said. "Mostly stress and anxiety, but you're not sixteen, so you'll be fine."

Marley smiled slightly.

"You guys are gonna be really good parents." Puck promised. "You've always been good with our kids."

"It's different though." Jake noted.

"You'll have a ton of people to help you and to love the baby." Quinn pointed out. "Us, Beth, Hudson, Lucy, your moms."

"My mom." Puck said. "Sarah."

"That's true." Jake smiled.

"You're not gonna mess this up." Puck promised. "If the two of us can figure it out when we're sixteen and not even together, you two will be just fine."

"That's also true." Jake muttered, looking at Marley.

-

"Thanks for lunch." Jake said as the group of four entered the apartment. "You guys didn't have to treat us."

"We wanted to." Puck nodded. "To celebrate the baby."

"Speaking of baby." Marley began. "I got one of those contraction simulator things for Jake to try, so he can almost understand what I'm gonna experience, but he refuses to try it."

"I didn't refuse to try it." Jake said. "I told Marley if I can drink some alcohol and then do it, I'm in."

"I can't drink before I give birth, so you can't drink for this." Marley noted as she looked at Quinn and Puck. "See? He refuses."

"I'll do it." Puck volunteered.

"Really?" Marley asked.

"Really?" Quinn repeated.

"You've done it three times. Why wouldn't I wanna try it?" Puck questioned Quinn.

"Because it's extremely painful." Quinn told Puck.

"I've broken bones, torn muscles, and had a ton of stitches, and in case you forgot, I nearly died in Afghanistan." Puck reminded Quinn. "I can do this."

"Okay... if you're sure."

"Let's do it."

-

"Are you sure about this, babe?" Quinn asked as Marley handed her the controls. "You don't have to do this."

"I'm sure." Puck nodded, taking a deep breath.

"It's gonna start small." Quinn decided. "It'll be like pressure or small aches at first, but it's gonna build up to ones that make you feel like your back is splitting in half. Sorry, Marley."

Marley gave Jake a look.

"It's thirty minutes, but if it gets to be too much before it's over, tell me." Quinn continued. "I love you."

"Just start." Puck said.

Quinn started the machine on the lowest level. "This is the beginning, babe. These are like period cramps."

"This isn't so bad." Puck noted.

"Just wait." Quinn warned Puck. "I'm here if you need to squeeze my hand."

"I'm fine."

-

For the first ten minutes, Puck was managing. Even though he was in pain, he was focusing on his breath and letting his mind wander to distract himself.

"How are you doing, babe?" Quinn asked.

"I need ice chips." Puck mumbled.

"You're a third of the way there." Quinn told him. "You're doing great. And I love you."

"Mhm." Puck nodded, writhing in pain.

Quinn watched Puck and frowned. "Noah, we can stop whenever you want."

"I'm fine." Puck insisted.

"Noah." Quinn repeated.

"You don't get to stop when it gets bad." Puck pointed out.

Quinn looked at Jake and Marley.

-

Puck had a very high pain tolerance, which he developed after all of his injuries, but by the end, he was ready to tap out.

Quinn was sitting on the floor, playing with his hair and encouraging him.

"Puck, just stop." Jake suggested.

"Yeah, Noah, you don't have to prove anything." Quinn added.

"I think it's great." Marley noted. "Jake could learn from you."

"How much longer?" Puck wondered.

"You're done." Quinn told Puck as she ripped the pads off of him. "Time's up."

"I really did it?" Puck asked.

Quinn nodded. "I'm so proud of you."

Puck smiled slightly. "I love you so much."

"I love you, too." Quinn smiled back as she kissed Puck.

"Alright, bro." Puck said as he sat up. "Your turn."
