"Did you ever have a different boyfriend or girlfriend?" Beth asked, looking at her parents.
Puck looked at Quinn.
"We did." Quinn answered with a nod. "Before we fell in love, we dated other people."
"Like who?" Beth wondered.
"Well, I dated Finn and then I dated Sam, and then I dated Finn again." Quinn explained. "And in college, I dated one of my classmates."
"After you dated the professor." Puck muttered.
"You're one to talk." Quinn responded. "You and Shelby."
"Shelby?" Beth repeated.
"I dated a lot of other women." Puck told Beth. "Santana, Brittany, Rachel."
"Mercedes." Quinn nodded.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot about that." Puck said. "And Lauren."
Quinn rolled her eyes.
"You didn't like Lauren?" Puck asked.
"I didn't like Lauren." Quinn said. "She treated me like shit."
"She was cool." Puck replied. "B, I'm telling you, Lauren could've been your stepmom."
Beth furrowed her eyebrow. "Really?"
"Noah." Quinn scolded.
"What?" Puck wondered. "Lauren was awesome. And maybe even a bigger badass than me."
"How come you didn't marry her, Daddy?" Beth asked.
"We had fun together, but I didn't love her." Puck answered. "I only love Mommy."
Beth smiled happily. "Really?"
"Of course." Puck replied. "Mommy is smart and gorgeous."
"Was Lauren pretty?" Beth asked.
Puck nodded. "Yeah."
"Mommy, how come you married Daddy?" Beth questioned Quinn.
"Your father is thoughtful and romantic and loving." Quinn listed. "And funny. And very handsome."
Puck smiled and puckered his lips.
"Daddy, if you didn't marry Mommy, would you marry Lauren?"
