I'm watching our clothes on the laundry machine, "Dear." I called out looking at outside the door.
She look up since she's busy on breastfeeding Luis, "Hmm?" She hum.
"Bakit kasi hindi na lang natin ipalaba tong damit natin?" I asked losing a patience to wait the washing machine.
"Nakakahiya kaya." She answered, "We hired them naman eh." I said.
"Nakakahiya kaya, alangan naman ipalaba mo yung underwear mo sa kanila?" She suddenly said. I blink a little "Huh?" I asked cluelessly.
"Wag ka na nga mag tanong tanong, mag laba ka na lang diyan." She shooed me.
After I wash and dry the clothes, I put it on the top of the bed and started to fold it neatly.
"Dear paki bantayan muna si Luis, maliligo lang ako." Irene said, I nodded Hindi naman siya mahirap bantayan.
While folding the clothes, he is laying beside me. Until he suddenly cry. I sigh before carrying him.
"Iyak ka? Mommy leave you na ha?"
Mas lalo pa siyang umiyak, so I sway my body a little.
Hahaha!" Natatawa naman ako.
I take a deep breath ilang taon na nung last kong naihele si Alfonso. "Ili-ili tulog anay~" panimula ko pero iniisip ko kung ano talaga ang kasunod na lyrics.
"Wala diri imong nanay~" He started to cry softly.
"Kadto tienda bakal papay~" I continue to sing while swaying a little.
"Ili-ili tulog anay~" I look at him, peacefully sleeping on my arms.
A flashback from my youth started to play on my mind. Indeed, I'm missing it so much.
I lay him down at the crib again to continue to fold our clothes. Irene went out at the bathroom.
"Tulog na ulit?" She asked.
"Oo inaantok na kasi ata. I can't wait to saw him crawling hehehe!" I said.
She sit down beside me, getting the clothes that I folded. "Wag... Masyadong mabilis." She said, I know what she mean.
"Hahaha! Dear naman." I said looking at her, "Baby ko kasi sila talaga eh." She pouted.
I kiss her before started to talk, "Hindi naman pwede yun dear." I said.
"Alam ko naman kaya wag mong pamadaliin na lumaki sila." She said.
I smile, "Yes my dear oo na." I answered.
She carry the clothes to rearrange it on our closet. I lay down to relax my back, hirap talaga pag tumatanda na daming sakit sakit sa katawan.
I opened my social media to be updated on what's happening on the world. I saw Irene's my day so I click it to watch it.
"The greatest gift we ever had, came from God;
We call him dad"
The caption and the picture of me and Luis earlier while I'm singing a lullaby. I smile like a fool and Irene caught me.
"Ano yan?" She asked sitting next to me.
I lay my head on her lap, "I love you so much!" I adored.
"Biglang sweet?" She asked, "Anong kailangan mo?" She added.
"Ikaw..." I answered, "Ako?" She asked again. I chuckled, "Kailangan kita ngayon at kailanman." I answered. "Dear! Kanta naman yun eh." But I can really tell that she's blushing.
"Tawagin mo si Alfonso." Pakikisuyo ko. "Bakit?" Tanong niya, I chuckled. "Wala nami-miss ko lang si kuya." I answered.
"Hahaha! Ipapatawag natin." She said calling one of our kasambahay.
"Dear sa enrollment this year ipasok na natin siya?" I asked patiently waiting for him.
"Pwede naman na dear." Irene answered. I nodded, "Can't wait it. Bibo naman." Sabi ko.
"Tahimik lang sa iba dear." She said. "Mag a adjust naman syempre ganon talaga sa umpisa since it's his first time to attend schooling talaga." I added.
"Sasamahan ko siya kahit ano eh summer school lang muna para di siya mabigla." Irene suggested
"Pwede naman dear, and beside tinuturuan mo naman siya. Reader na din naman siya." I nodded approving what her suggestions are.
"Okay lang sayo?" She asked it make me laugh, "Dear kung sa ikabubuti naman anak natin okay na okay." I answered.
Alfonso entered the room, "Daddy! Mommy!" He shouted so we both signal him to stay quiet.
"Is baby Luis sleeping?" He asked, tiptoeing to watch his baby brother on the crib.
"Yes, he is." I patted the space next to me. So he went and hugged me, "You're going to school at summer." Agad kong sabi.
"Ha?" He confusedly asked. "You're going to school na nga." I repeated. "But why?" He asked again, I chuckled a little "Because you need it of course. Everyone needs it naman." I explain.
"I don't want to." He started to stomped his feet. I sit down and make him look at me.
"Why do I have to go to school?" He asked, I sigh and make my mind to think an explanation where he can understand it more easy.
"Because you will not become you." I suddenly blurted.
"But Alfonso is me..." He said back.
It made me laugh, indeed a five years old boy can't understand what I'm saying. "Every level of education can make you different person." I tried to keep it simple as I can. "It's not about the money but the knowledge you have. How can you grow if you don't have any lessons or knowledge to use." I added.
"It's your responsibilities. Mommy and I went to work because it's our responsibility a small kid like you have a responsibility too and that's going to school and learn new things." I said.
I heard him sighing, "Even you don't want it or you like it. You don't have no choice but to go to school." Irene said.
"Okay I'll go. But baby will come?" Irene and I both laugh.
"Not now my kuya, but soon when he is same age of you." Irene answered.
Luis are now sleeping on her mothers chest while Alfonso using my shoulder as a pillow. I had to take a selfie and posted it too.
