It's been 3 days since the declaration at the hospital, James now was staying with Ling after being discharged today.

"Thanks for having me here" James said sincerely

"That's what friends are for right?"

James looked at Ling who just put down a cup of tea in front of him.

"I'm sorry for the troubles but the doctor said I should avoid heated food as the inside of my mouth was-"

"Oh, I see. Then let me go get cold drinks then"

Ling thinks his dad really did a number on his face and everything was really messed up, Ling went and got some orange juice. James grit inside he wanted to at least try to kiss ling once but his mouth was busted up, kissing him would be unpleasant and painful.

But even if he can't kiss him, at least he wants to know Ling's heart.

"Ling, if I asked you out on a date would you go out with me?" his silvery tone asked

Ling paused a bit, taken by the sudden question he looked at James who looked sternly at him, Ling looked into his golden brown eyes. It was beautiful.

"Uh, I don't date married men" Ling smiled

James eased back smiling. "What if I wasn't?"

Ling looked away, why was he asking this? James smiled at him.

"Okay I'll wait" James said

Ling looked at him confused about what was going on in his head.

Louis was upset, all the members of the brown clan were arguing. Sharon was caught in the mix of everything even though he was injured.

"Damn those blakesley how dare they?!" An elder yelled

"Angela how the fuck did you let our daughter do such a thing?! You even kept it from me"

"Calm down calm down we need to-"

"Your sister is in a coma sharon and as soon as she gets out their gonna bring her to court shouldn't you focus on defending her" his aunt yelled

"Don't yell at Sharon!! Isn't it enough that he is injured! Your niece is in a coma after attempting suicide the baby is barely holding on to life! James wants a divorce! Can't you see how much of a chaos this is" Louis yelled at the top of his. "Don't dry my husband into this, the only ones who should be putting pressure on him are me and our kids. Do you have any idea how much shock they were in to see their dad's injured head?!"

Louis couldn't give two shits about their issues but Sharon cares. In fact he cares too much at times it's frustrating, Louis is a selfish person but he will never stephie husband from happiness or isolate him from his relatives. But right now.

"Right now, it's not Sharon's battle to fight. It's Clarice's. She reaped what she sowed, and you guys are partially to blame. You guys need to open your eyes and realize that your lifestyle is helping no one, not Jessic, not Lavina, not Parker and definitely not Clarice. You people are driving your generations crazy! mad! insane!" Louis yelled on top of his lungs. "And before I let you do this to sharon I rather roll into my grave"

He took Sharon by the arms, leaving no room for confrontation.

Parker was reading a story for Chelsie who was on the verge of falling asleep, her tired eyes blink when she turned to Parker kissing his cheek.

"Goodnight mommy, goodnight heaven, goodnight daddy I love you"

Drake kissed her forehead as well. "Goodnight angel we love" they both said simultaneously

She smiled happily then slowly closed her eyes. Parker kissed Drake who smiled happily and kissed him back.

A week came by and finally, Clarice opened her eyes. The nurse who was changing her iv bag immediately went to call forth the doctor, her throat was horse her muscles were weak but still she trembled forcing her mouth open as her head to look at the doctor.

"M...y ba...by?" She croaked slowly

The doctor looked at him sadly as he sat next to the bed, then gently caressed her as and closed his eyes.

"I'm sorry we tried our best.... But ... he couldn't make it" the doctor said

Clarice's eyes tear up at the news, and soon a painful cry fills the room. It was dry and creaky but the sadness and regret was clear.
