Isobel was sending signs. Signs that were starting to piss Elena off.
"One more sign and I'm going to stake her." Elena groaned as she downed another bag of blood.
"Okay, okay. Relax. No need for bloodshed yet." Caroline smiled as she comforted her best friend.
"How are Damon and Stefan dealing with Isobel? I mean, I thought that maybe they'd have an opinion..." Caroline asked.
"Well, Stefan is determined to believe that Isobel isn't a threat, and Damon knows that I don't trust Isobel, so he's trying to get as much dirt on her as possible." Elena rolled her eyes.
"At least your two lovers are around. Matt is still grieving Vickie and Tyler refuses to return to Mystic Falls until he's figured out how to save his uncle." Caroline whined.
"Ugh. Why does being a vampire have to be so hard? You're either trying not to kill the first person you see, fighting other vampires, creatures and enemies...or you're keeping the secret from the ones you love most..." Elena looked out the window, unable to keep the tears in.
"Jeremy still not talking to you?" Caroline asked, worried.
"I inadvertently killed Vickie. Of course he isn't." Elena laughed, trying to get rid of the tears.
As Elena walked around the room, Stefan called.
"Hey Stefan. Everything okay?" Elena asked, glad to hear her boyfriend's voice. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to happy to hear hers.
"No. Isobel has decided to leave a trail of bodies. Damon wants to find and kill her, but I won't let him." Stefan sighed.
"Where are you? Caroline and I will meet you there." Elena became worried, Caroline looking at her worried friend.
"Don't bother coming here. You and Caroline need to go and find Isobel before Damon does." Stefan spoke before the line went dead.
"Vampire hunt?" Caroline smiled.
"I don't listen in to your conversations." Elena smiled at her sneaky friend.
"Let's just go. The sooner we find Isobel, the sooner Damon might calm down and Stefan will return to being his normal self." Caroline got up, putting on a jumper.
Searching around Mystic Falls was becoming a chore. The longer Isobel ran around, the longer Elena became frustrated.
"Elena!" Caroline whispered as she gestured to Elena, who was now seeing what Caroline was seeing. The girls gasped as they watched Isobel surround herself with a few teenagers.
"Don't yell. Don't scream." She repeated to the 5-6 teenagers that were next to her.
Elena and Caroline watched as Isobel started feeding on them, not hesitating to go for the neck.
"Isobel! Stop!" Elena spoke, attracting Isobel's attention.
"What's wrong? Aren't you hungry too?" Isobel in her vampire state made Caroline worried, as she had seen Elena the same way.
"You're killing these teens out in the open!" Elena was shocked.
"We're in a secluded alleyway. No one can see what's going on. C'mon Elena. You know you want some..." Isobel forced Elena to get closer.
Biting the next teen, Isobel stopped, watching as Elena tried to fight off the urge to kill the teen. Lucky for Caroline, she had both Stefan and Damon on speed dial.
"Go ahead Elena. There's plenty." Isobel smiled as Elena tried to resist, but failed, allowing her vampire state to take over. Sinking her fangs into the teen, Elena started sucking, feeling satisfaction.
Seeing that the teen was now dead and Elena was moving on to the next teen, Caroline attempted to pull Elena away, but Elena used her strength throw Caroline away.
"Good girl, Elena. Keep going. You're making yourself stronger..." Isobel encouraged Elena, who had now killed two teens.
Feeling arms around her torso, Elena struggled.
"Get off me!" Elena yelled as she tried to keep feeding.
"Nope." Damon refused, tightening his grip on her torso. Feeling the veins disappearing and the fangs going as well, Elena calmed down.
"W- What have I done?!" Elena started to panic when she saw the bodies on the floor.
"You were feeding, Elena. You're a vampire. Feeding is what you do, no matter how many times others try to stop you..." Isobel smiled.
"Elena, feeding on innocent victims isn't right. Get out of here, Isobel." Stefan spoke. Feeling out numbered, Isobel ran off, leaving Elena to continue freaking out about killing two people. Caroline consoled her friend as Stefan hugged his girlfriend.
"You might want to compel that onlooker..." Damon pointed out the deputy who had seen the whole thing.
"Do it." Stefan smiled.
Walking over to the scared deputy, Elena tried to prevent him from calling backup. It wasn't easy considering the blood around her mouth.
"Go back to your patrol. Forget that you saw any of us. Ignore the bodies and pretend like everything is normal." Elena stared into the eyes of the deputy, attempting to compel.
Elena, Damon, Caroline and Stefan sighed, watching as the deputy walked away.
"That was a near miss. Let's be glad that your mother hasn't yet provided her deputies with Vervain." Damon laughed as Caroline sighed.
"What do we do with the bodies?" Caroline asked, worried.
"You, Caroline, will take Elena back to our place. Get her washed off make sure she's okay. It's not easy to deal with killing people, even if you're a vampire." Stefan smiled at Caroline.
"That's why some vampires turn off their humanity." Damon looked excited.
"No one is turning off their humanity. Please, Damon, don't talk about that." Stefan groaned, shutting his brother up.
"What about you two?" Caroline asked, looking between Damon and Stefan and she held Elena in her arms.
"We'll deal with the bodies..." Stefan sighed.
"Okay. I'll let you know when Elena is feeling alright." Caroline smiled at the brothers before walking off with Elena.
