It was official. In order to get what he wanted, Klaus had taken Jenna hostage. Bonnie had offered to take Jeremy away for the week, hoping that he wouldn't know about anything that was going on.

"The journal is the only thing we have leveraged against Klaus. If we give it to him, who knows what sort of hell he might bring." Stefan sighed, pacing around the Boarding House.

"As long as we can save Jenna, I don't care about the journal." Elena was emotional. She couldn't stop worrying about Jenna.

"Okay. What does Klaus need to complete the ritual?" Caroline asked, worried.

"A vampire, which could be Elena. A doppelgänger, which could also be Elena. The moonstone, a witch and a werewolf." Damon explained.

"I'm also an option for a vampire." Caroline was worried.

"Okay, so Caroline could be the vampire, considering Klaus might not know that I am a vampire. I would then be the doppelgänger, Bonnie could possibly be the witch, Tyler could possibly be the werewolf and that leaves the moonstone." Elena explained again.

"Wait, if Caroline was the vampire, then why didn't Klaus take her? Same for Bonnie." Damon brought up a good point.

"You don't think that...that Klaus would turn Jenna?" Elena started to panic, Damon trying to calm her down.

"It would explain why he took her." Stefan was worried.

"I should have told her about all of this. Maybe if I had said something, she wouldn't be in Klaus' clutches." Elena started crying, unable to keep her emotions steady.

"Elena, no. We need to focus." Caroline comforted her best friend.

"I swear to god, if he hurts her, I will rip his head off." Elena snapped, trying her best not to break anything.

Hours had passed. There was no word from Klaus about Jenna's safety, meaning Elena was still losing her mind. She hung out in her room, Damon, Stefan and Caroline just downstairs.

Sitting on her bed, Elena panicked when she saw someone sneak through her window. It was Klaus.

"Don't say a word. Stay quiet and come with me if you want Jenna to remain human." Klaus ordered. His compulsion worked. Elena was following Klaus to where he had been setting up for his ritual. Elena watched as Klaus called Damon, knowing that Damon had the journal with him.

"Play nicely." Klaus smiled as Elena looked at Jenna, who looked like she had been bashed and beaten nearly to death.

"Jenna, are you okay?" Elena asked, worried about her aunt.

"I'm fine...I think." Jenna barely looked up without falling to the ground. She must have been injected with something.

"Look, I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for not telling you about Isobel being alive. I'm sorry for being so secretive about myself and about the people around me." Elena sighed, Jenna looking at her.

"What have you been secretive about?" Jenna was finally willing to listen to what Elena had to say.

"Mystic Falls is full of supernatural creatures. Werewolves, witches, vampires..." Elena began.

"And I know this, because I'm a vampire." Elena revealed, Jenna laughing.

"Nice joke, Elena." Jenna laughed, stopping when she saw the seriousness on Elena's face.

"I'm not joking. I'm a vampire, Caroline is a vampire. Stefan and Damon are vampires. Bonnie is a witch." Elena revealed, Jenna remaining silent.

"And Jeremy?" Jenna asked, worried.

"He's normal. He's died once or twice, but he's alive and human." Elena smiled.

"Prove it. Prove to me, that you're a vampire." Jenna asked, Elena smiling.

"Find me the sharpest rock." Elena asked. Jenna complied, handing the sharpest rock she could find over to Elena.

Holding the rock to her face, Elena pushed the rock against her skin, dragging it down toward her neck, watching as Jenna gasped in shock.

"Elena!" Jenna panicked.

Remaining calm, Elena could feel the blood running down her face, but she didn't panic, unlike Jenna, who was now screaming for Elena to stop. Dropping the rock on the ground, Elena waited a few seconds for the wound to heal itself, only leaving a small amount of blood on her face.

"See. Self-healing, aka vampire." Elena smiled.

"How? How is this possible?" Jenna asked, not so afraid of her niece.

"First, you need to be bitten. I was bitten by Klaus, then Damon." Elena began.

"Second, you need to die while the vampire blood is still in your system. I was shot with wooden bullets not even 20 minutes after Damon bit me. Those bullets killed me." Elena continued.

"Third, the victim has to drink human blood within 24 hours. So, if the victim doesn't drink human blood within the 24 hour time limit, they die. If they do drink human blood within the time limit, they become a vampire." Elena finished, happy that Jenna was finally getting to understand.

"So, Damon turned you?" Jenna asked, confused.

"Yep. And that created a whole lot of problems that I'll talk about another day. For now, we have to focus on staying alive." Elena sighed.

"What does this...Klaus person want with you and me?" Jenna asked, moving back to her place.

"That, is a very interesting topic. You see, I am a hybrid. I am part werewolf, part vampire." Klaus came back, this time with three people, all of whom Elena didn't recognise.

"I want to break a curse, in order to create more beautiful creatures like me." Klaus smiled, sitting up the rest of what he needed.

"How?" Elena was interested in Klaus' plan.

"Ahh, the question I hoped one of you would ask. I will first use this lovely witch to channel the power of the full moon to release the spell which has been bound within the moonstone." Klaus explained as he placed the moonstone on an altar.

"Then, I will sacrifice my chosen captives. Jules will represent my werewolf side and...as for Jenna. Well, I do have a vampire side that needs representing..." Klaus laughed as he grabbed Jenna and held her arm forcefully. Slitting his wrist, he held it to Jenna's mouth, forcing her to drink his blood.

"NO!" Elena screamed. Having fed Jenna his blood, he snapped her neck, beginning the process of Jenna becoming a vampire.

After a few minutes, Jenna came back to life, scared and confused.

"Please Klaus! Don't do this. Just let her die!" Elena begged, but Klaus didn't listen.

She watched as Klaus grabbed the third random person he brought, slitting his throat so Jenna would have the urge to bite, which she did. Without a second thought, Jenna fed on the innocent human, officially turning her into a vampire.

"Jenna..." Elena cried.

"Now. Let's wait to do the ritual. I'd rather have your friends here to witness me receive my power." Klaus laughed as he threw Jenna onto the floor.

For the next 20 minutes, Elena explained the pros of being a vampire, for example, being able to turn one's humanity and the cons of being a vampire, for example, needing to feed on blood.
