"If you have more plants than friends that's a warning sign."
"Ugh", I groan finally letting myself fall into my bed. I just got ready for the party and finally had a second for myself. I groan again when I hear Stella and Terra discuss about the plants so I stand up to help. "This is not a garden, Tara. It's a room for all of us", Stella states and I shrug.
She's right though. Terra looks sad now. Poor Terra has too many emotions for this reckless world. I see Musa and the look on her face. She can't really deal with people discussing around her.
"Okay, guys, let's make a deal. Terra, you're allowed to have six plants here, one for all of us. The rest of the thousand plants gets to be in your room. Stel, you'll be fine with six plants. It's easy." "Fine", both mumble but Terra gives me a thankful look. Poor Terra, she's just being nice. "Musa, are you in for a walk?", I ask her and she looks at me confused but nods.
"You're a mind fairy, right? That's why you're wearing headphones most of the time", I assume and smile when she nods. "I can read minds, too, you know." "You never wear headphones", she wonders as we sit down in the garden.
"I grew up here so I had to adjust very early. Not caring about others helped me." "How can you stop caring about others when that's all that you hear all the time?" "I just don't hear it anymore. I mean I hear what my brother says or Saul. But I can suppress listening to others, people who I don't care about."
She's about to answer when the look on her face changes. "What's going on?" "I feel someone who feels like complete calmness", Musa smiles and I wonder who it is. I feel Sam walking around somewhere.
There are many people close to us but I could feel Sam anywhere. Sam feels like pure heaven mixed with a bittersweet heartbreak to me. "You should get to know him or her", I smile, "We're going to work on that as well."
"Thanks, Scar", Musa smiles at me and chuckles, "How can you be friends with someone like Riven?" "Riven's a separate chapter", I laugh and we begin talking about everything that comes to our mind.
"Sky kicked your ass today", I mock Riven as I meet him in front of the specialists' house before the party. Riven doesn't even look like he cares about what I've just said. "What's going on?", I ask worriedly knowing that something must have happened.
"I've seen a dead body", he states and pulls out a joint, "Are you in?" Remembering Saul's words, I nod. If he won't change his mind about who he sees in people, why not just prove him right. "So Sky's into the crazy girl", Riven says as we see him talking to Bloom. "Why do you call her the crazy girl?", I sigh, "Be nice, Riv."
"Uh, the hairs? The mysterious appearance." "She's completely normal and fine. Maybe you're the crazy one", I snap back. "Nope, that's your friend already. What do I get if they get back together? Sky's going to let her in again anyways", Riven comments the scene infront of us where Stella approaches Sky although he's talking to Bloom.
Great and people start watching them, especially her. I'd have to talk to her later on. "Why did you start smoking that much?", I ask Riven softly. "What do you think?", he questions in a mischievous voice. "You're bored?", I guess and Riven grins shaking his head. "Come on, let's dance."
"What was that between Sky and you earlier? Did he mention what happened?", I ask Stella later on as I find her in a calm corner. "No, it's fine. I just wanted to talk to him and he didn't seem to be so amused about it."
"It's been a long summer, Stel. I know how you were doing but he doesn't know about it. If you'd just let me talk to him about, I could help you and Sky could understand you." "No, I don't want him to think that I'm weak", she replies.
"I know about it and I think you're one of the strongest people I know. Sky wouldn't leave you if you just showed him a little more emotions", I say once more but Stella shakes her head. "Please don't break your promise", she whispers.
She's not ready to let the mask that she's holding onto fall. "I won't", I nod and get back to Riven who's talking to one of the new specialists. He's cute, but also young. I'm about to step in when I see that he's not only talking to the guy but Terra is faster.
"Hey, are you bullying the first semesters?", she calls Riven out, "Stop it!" "If he's joining the fun, right?" "What's that supposed to mean?" "Nothing, just ignore him", I step in and lay my hand on Riven's shoulder, "Come on, let's get back."
"Riven thinks he's so great but last year he was this sad little nerd." "Yeah and you're this three for one", he shots back and I open my mouth shocked. "Riv!", I snap at him and hit his head, "You crossed a line here." "Come on, man-"
"No, no. It's fine", Terra interrupts the guy, her voice raising with each word „People somehow believe that they can treat heavier girls like shit. We're so sweet and innocent and can be lucky that someone would even talk to us but sometimes, we have a really bad day. Then, such a damn stupid ass says just the wrong words to the wrong time and we're not happy at all about him talking to us and we're also not sweet and we're especially not harmless."
Terra's eyes change and the plant next to us starts moving its branch around Riven's chest choking him so he can't even speak anymore. "Terra, that's enough", I tell her seriously not wanting Riven to feel such physical pain. I would have talked to him about his behaviour anyways.
"What? Excuse me?", she ignores me looking at Riven, "What did you say, Riven? I'm sure it was funny but I didn't understand it." "Terra, stop it!", I yell at her anxiously that she would seriosuly hurt him, "It's enough!"
Not having control over my power, I shoot little lightnings into the bottom and as I raise my hand, one cuts off the branch of the plant that's around Riven's neck so he finally breaths again. "You witch could have killed me", he snaps at her and I pull him back by his shoulder. "Riv, you've had enough." "I've missed you, too", Terra smiles at him provocatively.
