"Confess you were wrong yesterday, it will show you are wise today."

I'm quite nervous today. Alexander's and my relationship has been announced this morning. We're going to visit the city and talk to the citizens. I haven't talked to Alani yet to find out what people think of our relationship. "I'm sorry about the other day", Stephen apologizes as he appears in front of me, "Sneaking into your room.. you know." 

"For sneaking into my room?", I aks raising an eyebrow. "Also for freaking you out with what I've said.. I didn't mean to cause any troubles." "It's fine", I accept his apology, "I didn't change anything." "It didn't?" "No, it didn't", I sigh, "Stephen, I can't send Alex away just because of something that happened years ago between you two. I couldn't do this even if he actually hurt me. Yet he didn't hurt me." 

"I understand", he nods politely. "I'm sorry but I have to get to the car for the announcement." "Yeah sure. Just.. have a good day." I can tell that he's disappointed but I don't think that I'm able to change it right now anyways so I leave.

"Are you ready?", Alex asks me as we sit in the back our the car. Saul is driving the car so I'm more distant to Alex than usual. However, he still takes my hand to calm me down. "I feel like we haven't had enough time alone", I admit sadly. I'm surprised by how much I actually want to spend time with him. It felt so weird coming here but now.. I feel a little more home. "Yet we've still got forever", Alex smiles at me charmingly making my cheeks flush.

As soon as we arrive, Saul and some other soldiers leave the cars and get ready to walk us through the city. Alex gets out of the car first and gives me his hand to help me. „Awee, they're perfect!", I hear a young voice close. Alex and I look around. Some citizens have already gotten closer and watch how we begin our first official day together in public. Instead of holding a speech what might be suitable as well, I just start by walking right up to the first people who are close us.

"Princess Scar!" Wow, this is crazy. People are screaming my name. Not once or twice. These people are all here for us. "Are you a real princess?", a little girl asks me as we're about to walk past her. I immediately increase the pressure on Alex' hand to make him stop walking. 

"Hey", I smile ad her widely, "Yes, I'm a real princess.. just like you. We're all princesses if we want to, you know? What's your name?" "Elanora", she tells me shyly. "That's a beautiful name", Alex joins our conversation, "Princess Elanora." Her eyes grow wildly as he calls her princess. 

"Where's your daddy now?", she suddenly asks turning to me. He's.. I'd like to say that he's here. I would even love to see him complain about this all. "Excuse me, princess. I didn't teach her-" "No, don't apologize please", I interrupt her mom and turn back to the girl, "I admire young girls who dare to speak up. My daddy is in heaven now. He's watching me from above taking care of me and my family." "Thank you", her mother says quietly. I'm proud of our first conversation and get more energy turning to the next people. 

"Princess Scar, are you ready to become the queen of our country?", a man asks me politely. "You're too young to give up your life for this", his teenage daughter adds making me chuckle. "I'm young, yes. But I was raised to protect my country from a younger age. That's what I've been doing for the past years and I cannot wait to represent our beautiful country." "Prince Alexander, are you going to be here in Eraklyon? What about Sparks?"

"I'm going to spend my life with my future wife so you can expect to see me here in Eraklyon for a long time. My brother takes great care of Sparks. I'm here to support Eraklyon and our common plans." His future wife.. still sounds surreal. "You're doing great", William tells me throughout the time after we've been talking to a dozen of people. All of them have been excited to see and talk to us. Yes, I'm ready to defend and fight for these people.

"How do you feel about today?", Alexander asks me in the evening when we're alone as he opens a bottle of wine. "Thankful. All the people have been so supportive and sweet. I cannot wait for more conversations like these." "You were doing great", Alex agrees, "I'm sorry about the girl who asked about your dad." 

"No, it's fine", I reply smiling, "I know how to deal with this." "I just cannot believe that Andreas of Eraklyon would die in war. He's survived so many years of war. How could someone kill him this quickly.." I gulp hard. Yes, how could he.. How could I.. Shit. Do I have to tell him? Saul told me I don't. But do I want to tell him? This is a mutual relationship so if I expect him to be honest, I'm supposed to be honest as well. 

"Alex?", I whisper my voice breaking as he looks straight up in my eyes making me feel like his eyes look far deeper into my soul. Alex just stares at me waiting for me to say more. Alex, I've killed my dad. Say it, Scar. Say it. He deserves to know. He's going to run back to Sparx and team up with Eraklyon. 

Why would he hold onto a murderer? But what relationship is this if it's based on a lie? A lie.. I'm a liar when I pretend to be a good queen to be. How can someone like me become a queen to the most powerful nation? "I'm here, okay? You can talk to me or we can remain silent", Alex whispers softly laying his hand onto mine.

"Dad, please. Don't-", I plead my voice breaking.

Andreas breathes out and looks at all of us slowly. "Do what you have to do", Andreas orders looking at Sky but turns to me then, "Do it."

"I'm sorry", I cry, "I'm so sorry, dad." "I'm sorry", dad repeats my words his voice breaking as he's bleeding.

"It's been me", I whisper feeling the emotional burden of my confession, "It's been me who killed Andreas."
