"He's loved you in his own way."

"You got an emergency joint?", Riven asks as soon as he's found me at the stones. I knew he would look for me. He must have found out about Farah and he also knows how much she means to me.

"The heck", he hisses once he's got a clear sight of me realizing the bonds on my hands are tight, "You promised me to never put them on again!" I'm about to tell him what's happened when he goes on.

"I don't know what kind of dipshit's hurt you again but I'm not leaving your side. You tell me who it was and I make sure that no one will ever give you the feeling of not being able to control your magic again."

"Riv, I'm a blood witch!", I yell at him quickly before he can continues wanting to fight someone when in reality, it's just about my heritage. It's no one's fault. We just never knew about it. "You.. what?!", Riven exclaims shocked as if I'd just told him I'd be pregnant.

Well, maybe that'd be better news comparing to war right now. I'd still wait a few years. "Dad's written a letter for mom, Sky and I and mom read mine and hers. Dad knew that we're blood witches but they were able to control my powers and mom's were bound to Rosalind's life."

"And now that she-" "Exactly", I nod, I wouldn't wear these willingly anymore, "They hurt like hell, even more than those for fairies." "Can I help you somehow?" "Not really", I sigh thankful and reach for the emergency joint in my bra to give it to him.

Riven gives me a surprised look and chuckles. "You got it in there?" "A place where no one could control me", I reply smiling, "I still have to read dad's letter. Can you just stay here with me while I'm reading it?" "Of course. Anything for you, S."

Dear Scar,

if you're mom was quicker reading this letter - which I assume by how much more reasons you have to be angry with me - you probably already know that Olivia and you are blood witches. To be honest, I don't know why I've let myself be manipulated by Rosalind this much.

I was probably scared. Rosalind knew about Olivia and when she made me leave the first world with you and Sky, she made clear that Olivia had to stay in the first world without any powers. Rosalind made me believe that this is the better option than to bring her here with us and put her in prison or even killing her.

To that time, everyone hated blood witches, they were the source of everything evil. But Olivia isn't. Even before we've found out about her powers, she's never showed any reaction that would make me believe she's a blood witch.

If Rosalind and Farah hadn't found out about it by using their magic, none of us would have ever found out. I had to leave her behind but I also had to take care of Sky and you. I thought if you were raised by me, you would be able to control your powers. It was my mistake to follow Rosalind and become an anti-hero.

I couldn't take care of you anymore and Saul had no idea of how powerful you really are. They couldn't have helped you. Now that you know about this, Ben and Saul are going to support you and your mom to find out how to move on. You'll find a way to do this without me.

Scar, I'm sorry for not having been the father you've needed and would have deserved. I've seen you with Saul. I know he's been a father figure to you. All I can say now is that I'm glad that you've had him. I'm sorry if I made you believe that you're not good enough. You are.

You'll always be my daughter,

dad

"Aren't you mad that your mom opened the letter before you had a chance to read it?", Riven asks surprised but I shake my head. "She's my mom", I state as if this was an excuse for everything.

"I assume you won't forget who found her with you", Riven teases me and I let out a laugh. "I won't forget how you helped me many other times. You've always been there", I nod more to myself than to him, "You make life a lot easier."

"I'm surprised to hear that out of your mouth", Riven grins and gives me the joint back. "I'm not that evil ex-girlfriend who forgot about good moments, you know", I smile understanding how he thinks about me. "I know that for sure. You're not evil. You're just a cold-hearted bitch", Riven repeats once again joking and I hit his arm.

"No, seriously. I understand you, S. Saul's almost died, you transformed, your dad came back from the dead with all the drama, Saul's been arrested, you found your mom, your dad died." Riven looks into the woods where far away, I could feel our freedom is waiting for us.

The calm wind, sunrays shining through the windows, waves trembling softly. Somewhere out there, calmness is waiting for all of us. "I always knew you're more like a witch but I didn't expect you to be a blood witch", Riven adds. I smile at him softly. "Thanks for cheering me up, Riv. I needed it."

"Uh, Scar, what-" Bloom notices the bonds on my wrists when I walk back to our suite. I've tried to hide it but when I realized that it would shine through most of my shirts, I decided to just let it be seen. This is my heritage and I live with it.

"I'm a blood witch so-", what the hell am I doing here?, "Dad left a letter." "But you.. How?" "Mom's a blood witch." "I'm so-" "No, Bloom, please don't pity me. I'm fine. You should rather tell me how Sky and you are doing. I've heard you've been quite distant."

"Sky's trying his best", Bloom sighs looking down her wrists, "I'm afraid I might hurt him." "You won't if you don't push him back. Whenever we push someone back thinking we might save them from ourselves, we actually hurt them a lot more", I admit thinking back to whenever I've pushed someone back and distanced myself.

I've made a few mistakes myself so I know what I'm been talking about. "We're going to make it", Bloom reassures herself and I smile at her encouragingly. "Yes, you're going to get through this", I agree.
