Before Riven and I started going out, we've already been on off. There was a time where we were only friends. I guess my brother enjoyed his life with us a lot more back then. One kiss changed it all.

"I don't understand why I am not allowed to train with you guys. I'm just as good as you!", I complain to Riven after their lesson. Saul wouldn't let me work with the specialists. He says I still have to work on my power too much. 

"You're just not a specialist. I'm also not allowed to study with you fairies", Riven replies as if it didn't matter at all. "But you don't want to study with us! I want to workout with you guys." "Scar, get over it. You need a lot training to be as good as I am." 

"Excuse me?", I scoff feeling attacked although I know he doesn't mean it like that. "Okay, fine. You vs. me. To make it interesting for me, the winner gets to chose what we do." "Fine", I agree not even thinking about losing and pull him onto the platform with me. 

Riven and I start the fight, I let him make the first move and start by dodging his blow. Then I attack his legs so he falls to the ground. I'm surprised I really made it and smile as if I've already won but Riven quickly uses his chance to pull me down and get up himself so he can hold me tight. 

"Common mistake. Always make sure that your enemy is defeated before looking away." "Great, you won", I reply annoyed about myself, "What are we going to do?" 

"I want you to kiss me", Riven says to my surprise and grins at me. My mouth opens but I don't know what to say. We're friends. Why would I kiss him? "Get over yourself", I mutter and go away. What an unrealistic asshole.

"You still owe me a kiss", Riven greets me at the autumn party and I act like I'd have throw up just right now. "Saw what I think about it?" "Scar, it's not my fault that you wanted to fight against me so bad and thought you were better than me", he mocks me. 

"I am just as good as you. I wasn't concentrated. That's it." "Still you lost." "Why do you even want to kiss me, seriously? Just go over to any other fairy and leave me alone." "I mean it's better to have kissed a hundred and one than only a hundred, right?" 

"Again, get over yourself", I reply sharply. Somehow Riven started being a complete asshole to me on some days, and an angel on others. "Scar, betting debts are honor debts." "Kiss someone else", I repeat myself and walk away to sit with Sam instead. 

Sam and I are good friends and I enjoy being around him. He's easy and friendly and he respects me. "What happened between Riven and you?", he immediately asks and I shake my head. "I wanted to fight against him and I lost. Now he thinks I owe him a kiss." 

"I mean, maybe he likes you", Sam mumbles and his look changes but I don't know in which way it changes. "No, he doesn't", I insist, "Can we dance?" "Anything", Sam nods smiling.

"So you're hanging out with fairies now?", Riven asks me. Is there actually a place where he's not? I just wanted to get outside to get some fresh air. "What's your problem with Sam?", I groan just wanting to have fun for one night. 

"You're probably macking on him but I don't get that kiss." "Oh my god, Riven. If it's that important to you, get your ass here and I kiss you. Are you happy then?", I snap at him. "If you're still glued to Mr. Super-fairy, no!" 

"What's your issue with Sam? You don't even know him! You're just a jealous little dick", I say harshly not even knowing if that was an actual insult but he frustrates me, "Mr. Super-fairy is my friend!" 

"Okay first of all, my dick is not little, you sarcastic emotionless bitch", Riven snaps back and I roll my eyes. "Creative, Riven. Really creative." "You know what? Forget about it. Forget that there was at least one man in this universe that wanted to kiss you." 

Riven is about to leave but I still shout back at him. "Yeah, and now you're leaving. What a pretty badass you are. What's your fucking issue with Sam? Be a real man and say it!" "I love you and I don't want anyone near you the way he is!", Riven yells back at me, "I don't want him to be close to you or any other guy. No one!" 

"Riv, you said-", I whisper shocked. Honestly, I've stopped listening after the first words. "Forget about it, Scar." Holy shit, he didn't deny it.

"When will you finally admit that you're all over me?", Riven flirts once more as I visit him and my brother in the specialists' house. "And when will you finally understand that we're just friends, Riv?", I smile at him softly. 

I like Riven, I like him a lot. But I wouldn't want him to get high hopes and ruin our friendship. Plus, my brother would stand between both of us. "Why don't you give it a try and see what you're missing?", Riven goes on so I roll my eyes. 

"Seriously, will you ever just sit next to me like a normal friend?", I sigh not wanting to flirt with him today. I've flirted with him before but sometimes it feels like that's all that counts for him. "Seriously, Riv. She's my sister", Sky stresses. 

"I've understood that by now. I just don't care about it", Riven shrugs and Sky nods. "I'll go for a run. Please, stay out of trouble you two", Sky says giving us a serious look before leaving the room.
