"Copper, Silver and Honey. Looks like someone's a fan of colors."

Musa and I are walking down the hall to enjoy our break when I wonder why she's so extremely sensitive to people's feelings. I'm extremely sensitive, but I couldn't care less about strangers' feelings.

"Hey, what happened that made you feel so sensitive about people's feeling?", I ask her, "You weren't always feeling them, right? You probably couldn't run around as a kid with headphones on." Musa sighs and nods showing me that she'd like to sit down before we talk about this so I smile at her softly.

"My mom died about a year ago. I felt all of her pain physically and emotionally and the pain inside of me all at once. Since then, I always think back to this moment when I feel everyone's emotions. This is why I wanted to go to this school so deepy to finally have control over my powers", Musa explains to me and I smile at her but the look on her face changes immediately, "Shit, I'm sorry. Terra has told me about your family. That's a lot harder."

"No, stop with that bullshit, Musa", I tell her but in a soft voice, "No one needs to pity Sky or me. If we hadn't grown up here with Saul, no one would know about it anyways. No problem is worse than the other's problems." "How do you deal with it?", Musa asks me and I chuckle.

"I don't. I just give my best to learn more each day. I don't have any control over my powers. I've just learned to concentrate on good moments. I have Sky, Stella and somehow even Riven who I can trust. You and I are friends and I also like the others. And Saul is the best mentor I could have. My life could be worse." "That's great", Musa smiles, "Hey, let's grab a coffee and a bagel?" "Of course!"

"Scar, wait up", Sky calls me after the specialists' training so I stop and turn around. "What's up?" "Saul talked to me earlier and he said some important things. I neglected you and I'm sorry for that. I didn't want you to be in a conflict of interest because of Stella and I."

"Saul", I repeat chuckling. Of course, he would help us. "It's fine, Sky. I know you were worrying a lot about Stella, about Riven, about me and everyone else. You should listen to yourself more often", I smile at him and let him hug me.

"You're the best sister, you know", he replies softly, „Saul also told me that you broke up with that stupid boy who didn't treat you right. I'm glad you're moving on." "Me too, Sky, me too. You're also doing great about Stella. I know you still care about her so you two need to find a way to get along."

"I know, I know. We will. We'll both be fine again." "I'm glad to have you, Sky. You and Saul are the only ones that stay. Stella, too, even Riven somehow." „Yeah right", Sky laughs with me, „Hey, Scar? Can you show me a memory of a good time? I guess I could need that right now." „Sure, Sky", I nod and take his hand into mine.

Summer break before their second year at Alfea

"Have you prepared the horses already?", Saul asks Sky as I get out of the house with the bag in my hand. We've planned to ride the horses and have a picnic in the mountains. Sky has prepared the horses and I've made some snacks.

We're having summer break from school but Saul still spends a lot of time at school to make sure it's still safe so we don't see him regularly. This weekend, Saul has promised us to be at home for a few days so we decided to have a good time together.

I'm so grateful that we grew up here around pure nature. "Yes. Copper and Silver can't wait to get out on the fields but Honey is a bit nervous today. I've spent extra time with him to make sure he's feeling better", Sky answers referring to three of our horses.

"A typical Honey. He's just being lazy again", Saul chuckles and taps Honey's torso. "Looks like Honey's learnt something from you, Saul", someone adds and we all turn around to face Stephen, Saul's younger brother, "As much as I know Scar, she's made enough food for twenty people so can I join you for a ride?"

As soon as I see Stephen, my lips form to a smile and I get nervous. He looks even better than the last time that I've seen him. "Why don't you say hello first?", Saul replies jokingly and steps closer to greet Stephen by hugging him.

I bite my lip shyly remembering the last time that we've met. Stephen and I are close, too close. So close that neither Sky nor Saul should ever find out. But when I left to go to Alfea, we've stayed away from each other.

We were talking on the phone until Riven and I started going out. Seeing Stephen again makes me nervous. So after Saul and Sky have greeted him, I step closer to him as well. "Welcome back", I smile trying to sound like a friend would and hug him.

I remember how close we are and quickly pull away. We can't risk Saul finding out about it. "Yeah, thanks." "I've only prepared Copper, Silver and Honey but you could ride Honey with Scar", Sky suggests and Stephen nods. Great, this is going to torture me. "Then let's go, alright?", Saul suggests and we nod. Saul and Sky go outside, but Stephen holds me back.

"I'm sorry if I ruined your day. I can drive back tomorrow." "No, it's fine. I.. I'm always glad to see you. It's just-" "Complicated and frustrating?" "Yes. But it's also good to have you back, even if it's just for a day", I tell him but when I remember what's been going on before I left to Alfea, I think about Sam again and decide to make sure that Stephen and I can be friends, "But it's been a while so I hope that we can do this as friends." "Friends?", he repeats surprised and I nod. "You'll be back soon anyways and I go back to Alfea after summer break. Why make it more complicated if we can keep it simple?"
