a place in which girls rule

"Two frustrated fairies making a plan isn't always the best way."

As I'm about to get back to the specialists, I walk around the garden to be alone on my way there. I'm glad I can't really cry in public, otherwise a lot of people wouldn't have recognized me. I was questioning myself if breaking up with Sam was right or not.

Well, that's how I've spent my time until I hear Riven's voice somewhere near to me. He's talking to someone. Not just someone. He's talking to Beatrix. I could have seen that coming. She's this mysterious girl who acts like she's going to do something to harm us. I can't hear what they're saying but I feel that she's planning something evil indeed and she's got Riven wrapped around her finger. He's bored and he enjoys some adventures. Great.

"What's wrong. Scar? You're not concentrated", Saul notices as we're working on my temper separately. This time, my power doesn't appear at all. I'm just sad. I've acted too uninterested earlier, but I've immediately regretted what I've said to Sam.

We've spent great moments together during the past months. I wouldn't want to miss a second of it. Sam and I've been friends before. It hurts even more knowing that I've just lost one of my best friends.

"It's.. nothing, I'm just stressed out", I mumble and look back to the woods to concentrate on my power. "Scar, stop. It doesn't make sense when you worry about something else", Saul warns me, "Is this about Riven?"

"Saul", I sigh rolling my eyes but sit down on a stone, "It's about a guy but not about Riven." "Who?", he asks alarmed but I shake my head. "It's no one. I.. I broke up with him today. He wouldn't want to see me in front of anyone else. He was ashamed of being seen with me", I sigh thinking back to today's conversation with Sam.

Did anyone see or hear us? "There's no reason why anyone should be ashamed of being seen with you", Saul says softly and lays his arms around me, "It's fine, Scar. He didn't deserve you if he wasn't ready to be with you."

"It hurts. I didn't think he would be the one to hurt me." "Some people aren't what they seem to be", Saul sighs and I nod while crying into his shoulder. I'm just glad to have him, someone who willingly chose to raise my brother and I and who still gives his best to help us. "Who is it?", Silva asks probably knowing that I wouldn't say a name.

"I wouldn't want to prove him right. He was also afraid of you knowing about it. But it's not about Riven. You know that we've hooked up a few times anyways." "Well, I know it, but I don't have to hear about it again", Saul chuckles and I hug him thankfully this time.

"What did Dowling say to you after our lesson?", Terra asks me interestedly as the girls and I sit down during lunch break to have dinner together. "Nothing yet. She wanted to test something but I've got no idea what this is about."

"So she's hiding something from you as well?", Bloom asks but I don't want to admit it although I've had a weird feeling about it, too. "Honestly, I know so little about myself that it doesn't even matter anymore. I can't even remember my dad apart from a few moments", I admit and Bloom looks at me shocked.

"You don't know your dad?" "Hasn't Sky told you? Our dad was killed during a fight when we were little." "What about your mom?" "She's left even before my dad died. Saul and Sky are the only family that I've got."

"Maybe that's where your issues with your magic come from", Aisha tries to help, "Let's make a list with emotional triggers for Bloom and you." "Aisha", Bloom snaps at first but then calms down, "That's really nice but thank you. I'll do it my way."

"Yeah sure, but I thought you've been thinking about everything a lot already because of the changeling story." "Looks like everyone knows it", Bloom states unhappily. "That's why you didn't make it earlier! That makes sense", Terra exclaims, "I mean, the tasks are not going to be easier.. and I make the situation worse."

"It's not bad at all, Bloom", I try to calm her down by speaking about myself and trusting her, "My mom was from earth as well and we lived with her before she ran away. We all have some background that makes us feel different."

Before anyone can say anything about it, Stella and Sky appear. Bloom smiles at me thankfully. "So, we have a plan how to get my ring back", Stella announces but is stopped by Terra who tells a story about her younger self.

Stella gives me an annoyed look and I chuckle. She needs to be relaxed a lot more. Well, seeing Bloom and Sky talking to each other, I could also understand her. "Well, then we just sneak into the barn and get my ring back", Stella smiles typically as they've agreed on the place where we would have to go to.

"Awkward, you always use the term ‚we'." "Yeah, but you should talk about you only", Musa agrees with Aisha. "Well, I haven't lost the ring", Stella shoots back. "When do we leave?", Bloom asks focused.

"Maybe that's not polite but Bloom you've got no control over your power and even if you had control, it's dangerous", Aisha butts in. "I've lost the ring and I'll bring it back", Bloom decides. "Guys, I think we should think about it again", Sky tries to help but Stella is already happy that she's not going to do it on her own.

"Tell me when I have to be ready", I tell the others as well not wanting to let them do it alone. If anything, I'd help Stella. "Scar-" "It's already settled, Sky", I shrug not letting him do anything about it.
