„What was I supposed to do?"

"Do you think the barriers are going to maintain?", Sky asks Saul after we've built up the barriers and wonder if they can even help us all. "Yes, for a while", Saul replies while walking but stops to look at us seriously, "I've got no idea how this night might end but I'll tell you the truth about Asterdale now."

"Bloom has told me everything already." "Andreas was killed in Asterdale", Saul suddenly tells us and I swallow trying not to cry when hearing our dad's name. "What? That's not possible. You've told us that he was killed in a fight", Sky argues confused.

"Yes, right. Scar, give me your hands and show this memory to Sky as well", Saul sighs heavily and I furl my eyebrows. "I persuaded Farah to use her magic on me to deal with my guilty conscience and to change your memories, but I also told her to undo it yesterday when I realized in which situation we're in."

"You did what?!", Sky exclaims angrily and I'm glad that my brother defends me. However, dad is everything that I care about in this moment. "We'll talk about this later on, Sky. We need to know what happened to dad first", I calm him down and lay my one hand into Saul's and rest the other in Sky's hand.

"Saul!", dad yells running after Saul. "In this village are still innocent people. They haven't been evacuated. We have to inform Rosalind." "She knows about it." "Farah and Ben think they only kill burned ones. But hundreds are going to die!"

"Rosalind has ordered it", dad argues. "This is wrong! I know that Rosalind has given your life some sense and that she's helped you with Scar and her issues and you owe her but this is going too far!", Saul states but gets hit by dad.

"I won't let you warn them!" "Andreas, you still can decide. Are you listening to your conscience or an order?", Saul tries to persuade dad of being a good person and breathes heavily, „Don't do it. Andreas-"

"I'm sorry", dad whispers and quickly attacks Saul. They beat each other up until they both stand back on their feet again. "Andreas, please!" Ignoring his conscience, dad raises his sword and attacks Saul once more until he's stabbed to death himself.

I quickly pull away from Saul's and Sky's hand and look at Saul bluntly. He's killed dad. Dad has killed hundreds and thousands of people and didn't care about it at all. Saul's lied to me. Dad's made Rosalind manipulate me and my magic. I'm the problematic child that needed help.

"And then I ran back to Farah and Ben", Saul continues, "I thought I could stop them in time but it was too late." "You've told us that our dad was a hero", Sky repeats his words hurt. "Andreas has saved tons of lives before this day. He's killed more burned ones than all of us but he wasn't impeccable. None of us is."

"What's that supposed to mean? He's killed hundreds of innocent people and you've killed him. Scar tried to tell me that you're lying to us and I didn't listen. I've trusted you. You've lied to us our whole lives. What the hell am I supposed to do with this?", Sky replies angrily. "They're here", Saul states bluntly and leaves us as soon as the school is attacked.

We've trusted him. We've been raised by our dad's murderer. I couldn't move when Saul and Sky ran to the others to help. Stephen must have seen the look on my face and hurried to me. "Scar? Did he-"

"You knew about it, didn't you? You've lied to me as well", I whisper shocked about how I was so wrong about who he is. "Scar, I.. You have to understand me. I'm Saul's brother? What was I supposed to do?"

"You've claimed that I was your first love. You were supposed to be honest with the ones you care about", I say quietly and turn around to run away. I sit down outside at the circle and feel that my magic is active without me doing anything.

My hands produce little lightnings and the grass around me burns. I tell my body to stop but it won't listen to me. I've completely lost control and have to let my body do what it's about to do. There's no chance of stopping my body from taking off from the ground and transforming without me knowing what's happening.

"Your transformation is finished", I hear Rosalind's voice in my mind and she smiles. She's no where to be seen at the circle. She must has manipulated me once again and I've let her make me this soldier my dad and her wanted to have control over.

"Where's Riven?", Saul asks and I sigh. I haven't spoken to anyone since yesterday and I still try to act like everything is alright. I've got no idea what exactly happened. Before I talk to anyone about it, I want to make sure I've got control over myself.

"He's probably smoking a joint with Dane." "He's understood how fucked up this place is. Way before me", Sky adds frustrated, "Even without a dead father." "I can only hope that one day, you'll realize that all of this has only been in your interest."

"Why are the Solarians coming? You've told them that the attack has ended, right?", I ask Saul changing our topic as the Solarian cars appear in front of the school. As soon as the soldiers run out of their cars as if they're about to attack us, Sky reaches for his sword.

"What's that supposed to mean?" "Sky, stay calm", Saul warns him. "Queen Luna." "Your majesty." "Well, Silva. It's not easy for me but I ground you." "What for?", I ask her raising my voice. What's going on now? Can't we all just live in peace for some time?

"For attempted murder of Andreas of Eraklyon." "Attempted murder?", Sky repeats her confused. As soon as a man, more precisely our dad, steps out of the car, we all look from Queen Luna to dad shocked. That's what our dad looks like now?

"Hello, Sky, Scar", he greets us and my jaw drops. That's our dad. He's alive and he speaks to us. I can hear his voice in real life, not only in memories. "Dad", I whisper and am about to run over to him but I'm stopped by a Solarian soldier.

Another soldier chains Saul. I'm about to run over to him now but the soldier pushes me back leaving me no choice. Second by second more people appear, mainly soldiers.

One person however, walks up to my dad and smiles at him proudly whereas he's returning this look to Beatrix. I face my dad looking at another girl as if she was his own daughter while the person who raised me and who I fully trusted is being pushed into the car to be thrown into prison.
