"I'm coming right for you wherever you are."
"What do you think about prince Alexander, Scar? He's a good option, isn't he? The best that you have right now." "Exactly, right now", I mumble annoyed by people asking me out him and hoping for an extremely happily answer, "But if I could be with someone who's not a prince, I.." "You?", Alani asks, her eyes wide open, and she finally turns into my friend again, not my assistant, "Are you thinking of someone special?"
Well, am I? Yeah, probably. But since I came here, it doesn't matter anymore. "No, I was just thinking out loud", I reply slowly trying to make her ignore my statement. Alani grins knowingly but respects my wish to not talk about it. "Have you been talking to the prince already?" "Not much", I shrug, "I can't stand him and the way he behaves. He's so curious."
"He's trying to get to know his future wife", Alani comments chuckling, "You just need to give him a chance. I'm a little jealous to be honest. Out of all the great princes, he's the most powerful and handsome bachelor. Plus, he seems to be nice." "He's just not-", I interrupt myself when I'm about to say a name that shouldn't be mentioned. Get yourself together, Scar. I need to be more careful.
"You just tell me about him when you're ready", Alani smiles at me encouraging and I nod thankfully. "I'd prefer to know what Ronan thinks about me." "He's so dry, I could never tell if he even likes the prince. That's pretty professional. But as he's so logical, I think he's glad that it's you who's going to be with Alexander. You're also the best option for him." I chuckle embarassed but hug her thankfully.
"Thank you, Alani. I'm glad you're here." "Of c-" "Excuse me, princess, visitors have arrived for you. They're waiting in the garden for you", William joins us and points out the door. Visitors? Who could it be? "Of course, I'm coming", I nod professionally but I'm actually super excited to see who'd come to visit me here.
"No way", I gasp when I see Sky standing in the garden and I immediately run towards him to jump into his arms. "I've missed you." "I'm surprised to hear that you could actually miss me", Sky chuckles and hugs me more tightly, "I never thought you'd like me." "Oh shut up, Sky!", I exclaim laughing and hit his arm lightly.
"Language, princess", William coughs next to me and I nod. I mean he's right. I see Ronan approaching us and I don't want him to think bad of me. Not right now. Alexander is still my only option. Let's be real, there won't come a better option anytime soon due to political reasons alone. He's not only any prince, he's the prince of one of the three most powerful countries.
"Prince Sky", Ronan greets him, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Ronan. The royal consultant of your sister's soon to be husband prince Alexander." Sky gives me a slightly confused look as he doesn't know about the usual royal practice either. "You too, Ronan", Sky reacts politely and takes Ronan's hand, "How'd you like Eraklyon so far? I hope you enjoy your time here."
"I do. The landscape is wonderful." "Speaking of which.. I'm planning a hike through one of our national parks. What do you think of this?", I turn to Ronan and William. Ronan's look and emotions tell me that he's surprised by my sudden approach as I haven't been talking to him a lot yet but William also told me that Ronan didn't expect me to talk a lot. It's still all new to me.
"What a great idea, princess", Ronan smiles at me politely, "I'm sure prince Alexander is going to be delighted by this idea." "Sky, you need to join us", I tell him to continue our conversation. I haven't seen him in weeks so anyone else can wait. I wonder where mom and Saul are.. "I'd love to", Sky agrees smiling, "How are mom and Saul doing?"
"Good. Saul's busy helping in the politics and the preparation but they're fine", I reply halfway lying so I touch his arm to show him what it felt like the past days. By touching him and actively letting him feel my emotions I can demonstrate him how we've spent the past days which means having a few discussions when it comes to Saul, mom and I. Sky gives me an understanding look and I hug him once more.
"I can't believe you're here." "Me either, prince Sky. If you had informed us about your visit, I would have let your bedroom be prepared by now", William adds cautiously but Sky grins. "It's not like I don't do this at Alfea, William", Sky shrugs, "Also it's not only my room that needs to be prepared." Before Sky can continue about what he means or I can ask a question, I see two heads popping up in my sight who carry a few luggages. Luggage by specialists from Alfea.
Riven and.. wait, is that Stephen? I mean.. I shouldn't be surprised by Stephen arriving here as he's Saul's brother but arriving with Riven? How would they deal with being in the same car for a few hours? Why would they even come here.. the three of them at the same time? Despite my confusion, I immediately run up into Riven's arms. It might be hard to choose who I'd welcome first but I instinctively approached Riven first.
We're closer, at least that's what all other people think and he actually said goodbye to me even though it was killing him inside. I could feel it. Riven just feels warm in general. He might seem like a fucked up guy and maybe he is but he's also loving and caring. He always put me first and although it took me some time to realize what's happened between us from the beginning until now, I could never stop being around him.
The moment he said goodbye he knew that it would hurt him and I, but he knew that it'd hurt me more to not see him for an official last time. "I-", Riven whispers into my ear and I know it's hard for him to say it out loud under these circumstances so I nod into his chest. "I know, me too", I whisper sadly. I've missed you, too. "I think we need to let go. I'm not a mind fairy but I can feel some eyes on me", Riven chuckles and losens his grip around me.
I nod and smile at him shyly before I turn around to greet Stephen who hugs me more tightl than I've expected. He doesn't say anything at first but I can feel him being nervous which I'm not used to when it comes to him. "I'm sorry", Stephen sighs quietly. "I know."
