CHAPTER 5

ALDEN just finished his class. Mabilis siyang tumayo at kinuha ang bag. Habang ang mga babae naman na kaklase ni Alden ay nagtuturuan kung sino ang makikipag-usap sa binata upang kunin ang phone number nito. Obviously, Alden Greco was a handsome man. The new hunk in the university. Many girls are hoping to talk with him but Alden was cold and distant. He's brilliant in the class but he's quiet most of the time. He will only talk when ask and talk when needed. Wala rin itong pinapansin sa mga babaeng nagpapapansin rito.

Palabas na si Alden ng room nang may humarang sa kaniya. Napabuntonghininga si Alden. Hindi na niya sana papansinin ang lalaki pero hinarangan nito ang pintuan sa pamamagitan ng paghawak nito sa hamba.

"What do you want?" malamig na tanong ni Alden kay Soren. Soren Palma, the other hunk of the university but Alden exceeds Soren when it comes to physical appearance. So, Soren is obviously pissed.

It's been one month since Alden was transferred in this university. He doesn't one to have an enemy in this school but if this boy in front of him insist then he will gladly do it. Soren is a werewolf. Alden could tell but he doesn't care.

It's been peaceful for him this past month and he's glad except that this guy in front of him is really annoying. How will I escape from him? He's a werewolf and I'm a hunter. If this continues, I might lose my temper and I might end up killing him.

Alden sighed as he looked blankly at Soren.

"Alden, hindi ko alam kung bakit sa tuwing nakikita kita gusto kitang durugin gamit ang mga kamay ko." Kumuyom ang kamay ni Soren. "So, before that happens, leave this university."

The three students behind Soren — his alipores — also fisted their knuckles but Alden was not intimidated. This student in front of me couldn't intimidate me. If it's my sister then I will be on my knees.

Alden looked at Soren's fisted knuckles and his lips formed into a condescending smile. "What a coincidence, we are the same." Tinapik niya ang kamay ni Soren na nakaharang sa daraanan niya saka siya naglakad palabas ng classroom. Nang may bigla siyang naalala, humarap siya kay Soren. "I hope that you won't use force because if you wanted to fight, I'll fight you, Mr. Palma. And by the way, I will never leave this university. I only have one goal why I enter this university, I wanted to graduate but if you insist to have a fight with me, I hope you won't regret in the end."

"You!"

Alden just waved his hand cooly and left. Nakapamulsa siyang lumabas ng university. Nang makalabas siya ng university at naglalakad na siya sa kalsada, may sumabay sa kaniyang kotse, bumaba ang bintana ng kotse. It was his female classmates in one of his subjects.

"Alden, get in. We'll give you a ride." Nakangiting sabi nito.

"No, thanks." Alden continued to walk. Nakikisabay naman sa kaniya ang kotse ng mga kaklase niya.

"Come on, Alden." Pamimilit ng mga ito.

Alden rolled his eyes. "I'm not interested." He said coldly, not giving his attention to the girls and his eyes was focused on the road while his hands are on his pocket.

"Alden, come on. We will give you a ride. Don't be shy."

Napabuga ng hangin si Alden saka tumigil sa paglalakad. Tumigil rin ang kotse ng dalawang babae. Hinarap niya ang mga ito. "Can't you understand the words 'no, thanks' and 'I'm not interested'. Ang pinakaayaw ko sa lahat ay ang mga taong hindi nakakaintindi. If you don't understand what I have said then don't." Nagpatuloy sa paglalakad si Alden.

Napahiya naman ang dalawang babae dahil sa sinabi ni Alden.

Alden walked towards the nearest café and texted his sister. Malapit lang kasi ang flower shop na pinagtatrabahuan nito sa café na kinaroroonan niya at malapit rin ang café na 'to sa village kung saan sila nakatira — if you could call it as a village because it's a werewolf territory. It's a pack. But for Alden, he preferred to call it as a 'village'.
