"ANY UPDATES? Is there any hunter spying near the pack border?" tanong ni Keanu kay Oliver. Sumulyap siya kay Ava na abala sa pagkain. Kumunot ang nuo niya. Napansin niyang these past few days, kain ng kain si Ava.
"Wala naman kaming mga nakitang hunters malapit sa pack border natin, Alpha. But there are some rogues." Tugon ni Oliver.
Keanu's attention went back to Oliver. "Rogue?"
Tumango si Oliver. "It's like they are the one who's spying at us."
"Ganun ba?" napatango si Keanu. "Continue to monitor our pack's border. I don't want any rogues or hunters to enter our border."
Oliver bowed his head. "Yes, Alpha."
"You're dismissed." Ani Keanu.
Muling yumukod si Oliver kay Alpha Keanu at yumukod rin siya kay Luna Ava na tahimik na nakaupo sa sofa at maganang kumakain bago siya lumabas sa opisina ni Alpha Keanu.
When Oliver left the room, Keanu looked at his mate. "Baby, baka lamigin ka diyan. Pangatlong glass bowl na 'yan ng ice cream." Aniya.
Tinignan lang ni Ava si Keanu saka parang wala lang na nagpatuloy sa pagkain ng ice cream.
Napabuntonghininga na lamang si Keanu saka napailing. "Baby." Tawag niya kay Ava.
Patamad na tumingin si Ava kay Keanu. "Ano?"
Keanu smiled. "Baby, baka lamigin ka diyan sa kinakain mo."
Magsasalita sana si Ava para sagutin si Keanu nang bumukas ang pinto ng opisina ni Keanu at humahangos si Leo.
"I'm sorry for barging in, Alpha, Luna." Yumukod si Leo sa Alpha at Luna.
"What's the matter?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Keanu. "Is something urgent?"
Leo looked at Luna Ava. "Luna, Alden was kidnapped."
Mabilis na napatayo si Luna. "What?!"
It happened so fast. Agad na nakalabas si Ava ng opisina ni Keanu bago pa man makapagsalita si Keanu.
Tumayo si Keanu mula sa kinauupuang swivel chair saka sinundan si Ava. Naabutan niya si Ava na nasa living room ng pack house.
"What happened?" Ava asked to the pack warriors.
"Luna, we apologized for our incompetence." Nakayukong sabi ng pack warriors.
Ava closed her eyes. "Who kidnapped my brother?" she asked. She's trying to calm herself. Walang patutunguhan kung magpa-panic siya. She opened her eyes and looked at Keanu. Somewhat Keanu will calm her and it did.
"Luna." May ibinigay na cellphone ang isang pack warrior kay Ava.
Tinignan naman ni Ava ang cellphone. She saw her brother in the video with Draco.
Kumuyom ang kamay ni Ava. 'If you want to see your brother alive, come and get him.'
Hinawakan ni Keanu ang kamay ni Ava. "Baby, calm down."
Tumango si Ava.
"Where's Elijah?" Keanu asked.
"He was furious, Alpha. So, Oliver need to calm him down."
Napatango si Keanu. "When he's calm, tell him to come here."
"Yes, Alpha."
Sinenyasan ni Keanu ang mga pack warriors na umalis. Yumukod ang mga ito at umalis naman.
"Baby, what is your plan?" Keanu asked.
Ava sighed deeply and sat on the sofa. Tumabi naman si Keanu kay Ava at hinawakan ang kamay nito. Ava smiled looking at their holding hands. But then her face became serious. Tumingin siya kay Keanu. "Alden was in Draco's hand. I know Draco because we grew up with him." Ava sighed again. "I need to face him."
