"MORNING, EVERYONE." Keanu greeted everyone as he entered the kitchen. It's breakfast time so most of the pack members are in the kitchen to get their breakfast.
Lahat ay natigilan nang marinig ang pagbati ng kanilang Alpha. Bahagya silang nagulat dahil ngayon lang yata nila narinig na bumati si Alpha Keanu sa kanila sa umaga. Kadalasan kasi, papasok lang ito sa kusina, kukuha ng pagkain at uupo sa upuan nito at kakain na ng hindi nagsasalita. Pero ngayon, kitang-kita nila ang ngiti at saya sa mukha nito.
"Keanu," it was Oliver who arrived also in the kitchen, "don't shock our pack members, okay?"
Nagtaka si Keanu. "I didn't shock them."
Ngumiti lang si Oliver saka tinapik ang balikat ni Keanu. "Sophia went to Luna."
Ngumiti si Keanu at tumango saka kumuha ng pagkain. Pagkatapos niyang kumuha ng pagkain, umupo siya sa dulo ng lamesa habang sa left side naman ng table umupo si Oliver. The right-side seat is for the Luna actually.
Keanu and Oliver are talking about the pack's business and their security when someone seated on the right-side seat. No other than Nancy.
"There are many vacant seats here, Miss Wintle." Walang emosyong sabi ni Keanu. "Don't occupy that seat. It's only for the Luna."
Yumuko si Oliver para pigilan ang tawa niya. This is going to be fun. Since Nancy did that thing to Keanu. Keanu has been indifferent towards Sophia. Oliver's thought as he shook his head. He should be worried but he knew Keanu, unless it was his mate, he will never get seduced. And he will bet his head on that.
Nancy pouted. "But you haven't found your Luna yet." Though she already knew who is Keanu's mate and she's been tailing her these past few days. Wala namang ibang espesyal rito. She's just a mere woman.
"I already found her." Keanu said with his emotionless voice. Lahat ng mga nasa kusina ay narinig ang sinabi ni Keanu kaya lahat sila ay napatingin sa kanilang Alpha. "So, show some respect, will you?"
Sumimangot si Nancy.
Kapagkuwan, may tumunog.
"Alpha, someone's calling you." Ani Oliver.
Mabilis na kinuha ni Keanu ang cellphone sa bulsa. He was hoping that it will be his mate but disappointment feed him when he saw it was his mom.
Sighing, Keanu answered the phone. "Mom."
"Keanu, I miss you, 'nak."
Napailing na lang si Keanu. "Mom, it's not obvious that you miss me." Aniya. "What do you need, Mom? I'll get it done for you."
His mom chuckled from the other line. "Your father and I has been away for many months. How are you? Did you already find your mate?" excited na tanong ng ina.
"If you're here personally, I'll tell you the truth but since you are not here, I won't say too much. Bye, Mom. Enjoy your moment with Dad. And please, I'm already over thirty, don't think of giving me a little brother or little sister. Bye. I have something to deal here." aniya at tumingin kay Nancy.
Nancy just smiled sweetly.
Keanu ended the call and looked at Nancy. Inilapag niya ang cellphone sa mesa. "Don't you ever disrespect your Luna."
Nancy rolled her eyes and spoke ill about the Luna. "What so good about her? She's a human. Just reject her. She's not fit to be a Luna."
Napasinghap ang mga pack members at nagulat sa sinabi ni Nancy. Only Nancy has the gut to say that about the Luna, and not to mention in front of the Alpha.
