HINDI mapigilan si Ava ang sarili na ngumiti habang gumagawa siya ng bouquet nang maalala ang kapatid niya at si Elijah noong nakaraang araw. Hinatid ni Elijah ang kapatid niya sa bahay nila. She saw how Elijah looked at her brother. There is something in Elijah's eyes when he looked at Alden. That kind of look - like he was saying that Alden was his. Alden is just the same. Though Alden can lie but his heart would never lie.
Napailing si Ava. She even asked her brother that day.
"Anong nangyari at bakit kasama mo si Elijah?" She asked when Elijah left. Though she already had an idea in her mind. Gusto niya lang marinig mismo sa kapatid kung ano ang nangyari.
Alden sighed. "Rogue," he said.
"Oh." Tumango si Ava. "What happened?" Tanong niya. Nakita niya ang benda sa braso ng kapatid. "Your arm..."
"I'm okay, Ate. It's just a scratch. It's not a big deal."
Nawalan ng emosyon ang mukha ni Ava. "Are they dead?" She asked with cold voice. Ang tinatanong niya ang tungkol sa mga nanakit sa kapatid niya. Walang pwedeng manakit sa kapatid niya.
Tumango si Alden. "They're dead. Actually, Elijah and Kuya Keanu helped me."
Kumunot ang nuo ni Ava. "Kuya Keanu? Bakit close na kayo?"
Napailing lang si Alden at hindi pinansin ang sinabi ng kapartid. "Tama ang hinala natin noong una, Ate." Alden looked at his sister as he sat down on the sofa. "This teritorry is belonged to Bright Moon Pack. Magaling lang silang magtago ng mga katauhan nila kaya ang mga tao rito, hindi nila alam na mga lobo ang ibang nakakasalamuha nila."
"So, where have you been?" Ava asked.
"Their pack house," Alden said and cleared his throat.
Natigilan si Ava. "Pack house?"
"Their manor. They called it as pack house. I'm treated by their pack doctor." Alden sighed. "I'm just lucky that they didn't find out who I am or else how would I get out there alive."
Umupo si Ava sa sofa. "Huwag mo ng isipin 'yon. Basta ang kailangan nating gawin itago natin ang tunay nating pagkatao. Sa tingin ko kasi hindi basta-basta tayo mahahanapan rito ni Draco. Malayo na ang lugar na 'to sa pinanggalingan natin."
"Sana nga, ate." Sumandal si Alden sa kinauupuan. "Ate, may tanong ako sa 'yo."
"Ano?"
"Kung sakali...kung sakali lang naman na may magkakagusto sa 'yong lobo, tatanggapin mo ba siya?" Seryosong tanong ni Alden habang nakatingin ng deretso sa mata ng kapatid.
Ava also looked into Alden's eyes and then she shook her head. "Hindi ko alam. I honestly don't know. Why are you suddenly asking me?" she asked but Keanu's image came into her mind. There is something inside her - like something was pulling her towards Keanu every time they met.
Umiling si Alden. "Wala naman, Ate. I'm just curious so I asked you."
Kumunot ang nuo ni Ava. "Are you asking me...is it because of Elijah? He's a werewolf, right?"
Wala sa sariling napatango si Alden.
Ava didn't hide her smile. "You're his mate?"
Nanlaki ang mata ni Alden. And even he didn't say anything, his beloved sister already knew it.
"So, you accepted him?" Ava asked when Alden didn't say anything.
As a response, Alden showed his wolf mark. "I didn't say that I accepted him but this wolf mark appeared on my left palm. It betrayed me. Ate, I'm sorry. I didn't know that this will come."
