BINALIKAN ni Ava ang lugar kung saan nila pinatay ni Alden ang maraming hunters. Pagbalik niya doon malinis ang buong lugar at parang walang nangyaring gulo. Napabuntonghininga si Ava saka tinignan ang mga kagamitan na naroon. Tumingin siya sa labas ng bintana. Tumaas ang sulok ng labi ni Ava saka napailing.
Someone took the bait. She thought.
Umupo si Ava sa pang-isahang sofa saka ibinaba ang hawak na dagger sword sa center table. Tinignan niya ang kabuuan ng bahay. Ibang-iba ang hitsura nito nang iwan nila ito ni Alden na duguan.
"Looks like the Crown Prince has many helpers though he came at the pack house alone." Aniya sa sarili habang tinitignan ang paligid.
Kinuha niya ang cellphone sa bulsa ng suot na blazer saka tinawagan si Keanu.
"Hi, Mr. Alpha." She greeted her man when he answered the call.
"Baby, where are you?" tanong ni Keanu. "Sinabi ko naman na sa 'yong magpaalam ka kung lalabas ka para hindi ako nag-aalala sa 'yo."
"Oh." Ava smiled. "Nagsabi naman ako kay Leo kanina bago ako umalis. Bakit? Hindi ba niya sinabi sa 'yo?"
Keanu rolled his eyes. "Baby, kanina ko pa hindi makita si Leo. Where are you?"
"I'm at the place." Tugon ni Ava na ikinatigil ni Keanu.
"Baby, I told you. I can handle Nancy. I could kill or punish her for betraying our pack but you insisted of doing this. Are you sure your plan won't fail?" Tanong ni Keanu.
Ngumiti si Ava. "Wala ka bang tiwala sa akin?"
Keanu sighed. "Of course, I trust you but..."
"Don't worry, Keanu. I can handle this. Trust me. Trust your Luna."
"Baby..."
Ava pouted. "Let's make love later."
Bahagyang natigilan si Keanu. His eyes were filled with desire but even his eyes were filled with desire, he controlled himself. "Baby, that won't work to me."
Nagkibit ng balikat si Ava. "Okay. Then let's not make love for one month."
Nanlaki ang mata ni Keanu. "Baby, that's heartless!"
Ava just shrugged her shoulder.
Keanu closed his eyes. My mate knows me.
'Idiot!' Cayden growled at Keanu.
Nasapo ni Keanu ang ulo. 'Will you not growl in my head, Cayden?'
'I don't care where should I growl too. I just wanted to tell you that you should trust our mate.' Cayden scolded Keanu.
"Keanu, are you okay?"
Keanu opened his eyes and looked at his phone. "I'm okay, Baby. I'm just having argument with my wolf."
"Oh. What did he say?" Ava asked.
Ngumiti si Keanu. "He scolded me and told me to trust you."
Napatango si Keanu. "Tell him I love him."
"What about me?"
Ava rolled her eyes and ended the call.
Napatanga na lang si Keanu sa screen ng cellphone.
Tawa naman ng tawa si Cayden.
Keanu tsked and blocked Cayden in his mind.
Binuksan niya ang pack link at kinausap si Oliver. 'Oliver, follow His Highness and observed him. Huwag kang aalis hangga't hindi siya umaalis sa kinaroroonan niya.'
