SOPHIA entered the Walmart to buy some necessities for her and Oliver. The Walmart was just outside the pack's territory so she had nothing to worry about. When she went to the clothing section, she smelled a familiar scent. A very familiar scent. Mabilis niyang hinanap ang nagmamay-ari ng amoy na 'yon. Hindi niya makalimutan ang amoy na 'yon at hindi siya maaaring magkamali. Magkahalong kaba at excitement ang naramdaman ni Sophia sa mga oras na 'yon.
When Sophia found of the owner of the scent, she saw a woman looking for clothes. Sophia stared at the woman. Naramdaman yata nito ang tingin niya kaya tumingin ito sa kaniya.
Habang namimili si Ava naramdaman niyang may nakatingin sa kaniya kaya naman tinignan niya ang paligid at natuon ang atensiyon niya sa isang babae na nakatitig sa kaniya. Natigilan si Ava dahil pamilyar sa kaniya ang babae. Kumunot ang kaniyang nuo. She is... hindi siya maaaring magkamali. This woman... Kilala niya ito at hindi siya maaaring magkamali. Sophia...
Sophia walked towards her.
Nagpanggap naman si Ava na parang hindi niya ito nakikita at nagpatuloy siya sa pamimili ng damit.
Though Sophia lost her consciousness that time, she heard her savior's name. "Ava..." she called the woman by her name. Hindi niya nakita noon ang mukha nito pero alam niya ang amoy nito at kilala niya ang boses nito.
Tumikhim si Ava saka tumingin kay Sophia. "You remembered me?" she asked.
Ngumiti si Sophia. "It's really you?" Niyakap niya si Ava. "Thank you for saving me. I knew it's you because of your smell and your voice. Hindi ko makalimutan 'yon."
Hindi naman alam ni Ava kung yayakapin ba niya si Sophia o ano. Kaya mahina na lang niyang tinapik ang likod nito. "I think you're doing fine."
Kumalas si Sophia kay Ava. "I'm doing good. Thanks to you. Thank you for saving me."
Umiling si Ava. "No need to thank me, Sophia. Ginawa ko lang kung ano ang dapat kong gawin. I'm relieved that you are doing good, well and alive. Iyon ang pinakamahalaga sa lahat."
Tumango si Sophia saka hinawakan ang kamay ni Ava. "Can we talk?"
"I would love too but you know who I am, Sophia. Hindi ka ba natatakot na baka mapahamak ka?" Ava looked into Sophia's eyes.
Sophia smiled. "Who cares? You're my savior and I already treated you as my friend." Umiling si Sophia saka mahina ang boses na nagsalita. "I don't care if you're a hunter and I am a werewolf. Who said that hunters and werewolves can't be friends?"
Doon napangiti si Ava. "I would love to talk to you but I'm with my brother right now."
"Brother?"
Tumango si Ava. "Kung okay lang sa 'yo, pwede ba siyang sumama sa atin?"
"Okay. Gusto ko ring makilala ang kapatid mo." Sabi ni Sophia.
Ava texted her brother that they would meet at the café near the Walmart. Hindi na niya alam kung saan pumunta ang kapatid niya. Ang sabi lang nito noong pumasok sila sa Walmart na may bibilhin ito.
Sophia and Ava went to the café and ordered some coffee and pastries.
"So, what's the good news?" Ava asked Sophia like they were already friends for long time.
Ngumiti si Sophia. "I found my mate."
"Congratulations." Ani Ava. Pumasok sa isipan niya ang lalaki na nag-aalala noong nakita nito si Sophia. She assumed that it's him. Ngumiti siya. "I'm happy for you."
"Thanks."
Maya-maya ay dumating si Alden.
"He is my brother." Pakilala ni Ava. "Alden, si Sophia, she's a werewolf."
